Peaches Goes Bananas

ENG:: In February 2015, the first edition of the #SheMakesNoise festival took place at La Casa Encendida in Madrid, two years after the launch of an online research project of the same name. That year’s statement explained the idea behind this in-person initiative: to map artists, audiovisual works, researchers, and critics focused on women working in electronic music and sound experimentation. For that inaugural event, there was a “noisy” poster design and performances by artists appearing for the first time in Spain and Madrid: Klara Lewis, Karen Gwyer, LCC, and Paula Temple & Jem the Misfit. In the audiovisual category, the spotlight was on filmmakers Marie Losier and Deborah Stratman. Many thanks to all the institutions, artists, and collaborators who, more than 10 years later, continue to make this project possible. 📷 @evavieravideo #SheMakesNoiseForever 💙
