What a luxury to have so much to miss. Transitioning from Hopkins is bittersweet after a year I’ll never forget. I’m incredibly grateful for the friendships, mentors, patients, staff, co-interns, seniors, and experiences that shaped me both inside and outside the hospital. Thankful to my program directors for their support, and to the village that continues to carry me every step of the way.
•
To my Baltimore and DMV friends who became family—thank you for the memories, the laughs, and for always having a couch ready when I come back to visit. Now it’s time for the next chapter.

As many of you know, being closer to family and in a better position to support them on the West Coast is especially important to me at this time. That said, my first week at UCLA has already been great, and I’m excited for the journey ahead!

To Lanre and Bennetta,

I'm so glad I've been able to witness your love story.

Lanre, watching you grow as a man and partner has been inspiring. Your thoughtfulness in relationship makes it clear to me that you'll be a phenomenal husband.

Bennetta,
Though we haven't spent much time together, I can carry see the light you are. The way you two hold each other with care, intention and joy is beautiful to witness.

I'm wishing you both a lifetime of love, laughter and light. I have so much faith in the future you are building.

Love,

Corey P.
