The 32nd edition of Lowlands was one to remember!🔥

From incredible shows across the festival to our Maktub writers making their mark: Joel Dieleman with S10, Jheynner with Willem and Neema Nekesa owned the stage during her performance.

What a weekend! 🧡

Last week we hosted a writing camp together with Maktub and 36/42 to write music for and with musicians working in the versatile Asian pop market. Everybody brought their A game to the table and the songs made last week are absolutely mindblowing 🤯✨
Many thanks to all artists putting in the work and to Maktub and 36/42 for the collaborative organisation!

Throwback to Sonan’s writing camp at Armada in Amsterdam.

Four days, two studios, sixteen writers and around sixteen songs created. A week full of ideas, sessions and new connections, with Sonan’s Life in AMS project taking shape in real time.

More to come.

𝐒𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐧 𝐖𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩, 𝐀𝐦𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐦.
Last week, 16 writers came together for a four-day camp around Sonan’s project “Life in ams”.

Across two studios, the energy was high from the moment it started. Sessions flowed, ideas came together fast and everything just made sense.

16 songs in four days.

Shout out to @sonansonansonan for leading the vision and to all writers for the energy all week.

Special mention to @marijnderoo on his first camp.
Big thanks to @armadamusicpublishing for hosting.

𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦: 𝐍𝐞𝐞𝐦𝐚 𝐍𝐞𝐤𝐞𝐬𝐚

We’re proud to welcome Neema Nekesa to the Maktub team.

Born in Ethiopia and raised in the Netherlands, Neema is carving her space within the R&B scene with a sound that feels fresh and soulful.

Her pen is already reaching far, with over 2.5 million streams, collaborations with Ronnie Flex and Noflik and sharing the stage with Macy Gray, she’s making moves.

We’re excited to start this journey together and build on the next chapter. ✨
