I’m a marathoner!
The @londonmarathon was a dream.

It ended up being much warmer 🥵 than expected, so I decided to run smart and conservatively—and I had an absolute blast out there. I soaked in the sights, the signs, the energy, the endless cheers. Highlights? Turning the corner to Tower Bridge. Seeing Big Ben and realizing I only had a mile left. And—on @heatherilana ‘s advice—high-fiving every little kid I could find along the course. 🙌

Running a marathon takes work. The training is long, hard, and often brutal. It demands time, discipline, grit, and resilience. There were meltdowns. There were mornings I didn’t want to lace up. Some runs felt more like punishment than passion. But when race day came, I was ready.

My fueling strategy worked. I ran with intention. I luckily never hit the wall. It felt like a 26.2-mile celebration 🎉 —and I crossed that finish line healthy, strong 💪🏼 , tired but so proud.

There are good days and bad days in running. This was a good day. It was a victory.

And it took a village.

To my husband @f1samy27 —who’s supported me ever since this was just an idea, who stayed on me about hydration and fueling even when I didn’t want to, cheered louder than I’ve ever heard, and made sure someone was waiting at every mile he knew I might need it: thank you.

To @ctmotivator, my trainer and coach, who got me from injury to race day with precision and patience: thank you.

To the marathon spectating all-stars @natshaeve8 & @rafasantos_83 who showed up with cold 🧊 Gatorade at mile 14 and a Puerto Rican flag 🇵🇷 at 21.5—you knew exactly what I needed, exactly when I needed it: thank you.

To my seasoned-marathoner support squad (@heatherilana , @denicemi , @franceslr) who answered all my questions and tamed every fear: thank you.

And to my family, friends, and colleagues who cheered from near and far and the London crowds: thank you.

From the bottom of my heart ❤️: thank you all. We finished together.
