Highlights from the First Two Days of the Mokulito Workshop with Tadashi Kobayashi

A collection of images capturing the first two days of our Mokulito Workshop, led by Japanese master printmaker Tadashi Kobayashi, with Ariadna Abadal as Head of the Printmaking Studio and Vėjūnė Leškytė as Studio Assistant.

During these first sessions, participants have been preparing their plywood plates, experimenting with different drawing materials and exploring the unique graphic possibilities of Mokulito.

Two inspiring days of learning, experimentation and creative exchange at Art Print Residence.

The Propeller Store at @urbanitepdx is a space of calm reflection and quiet exploration. Our inventory starts with our region—books from writers in the Pacific Northwest—and expands to include broader topics of art and culture.

We are open Thursday-Tuesday from 10-6.

We are spending this whole weekend at the 35th annual Cherry Creek Arts Festival, with 265 incredibly talented artists, free live music, great eats and drinks, and more. The festival is free to attend and if you’re in Denver you kinda have to swing through. (We promise you’ll leave inspired!)

This is Oh Hey’s fifth year spearheading public relations and social media for CherryArts, the nonprofit that produces the festival. We love their mission to bring art to Coloradans all year long, and we adore their team. It’s an honor to support them! 🍒🎨❤️

“Raindrops” off the new @pickapiper album Dandelion. Out now! Link in bio.

This song (as a few on the album do) dates back to an idea I made on a flight. It sat dormant for 6 years before I rescued it from extinction and got Sophia to add some vocals to it and we finally fleshed out the tune together. It is very much influenced by shoegaze and post-rock music, by artists like Explosions in the Sky, My Bloody Valentine and Mogwai. I wanted to mash those aesthetics with contemporary beats and electronics and am very happy with the results! We hope you like it too!!
