A friend recently said to me "𝘐 𝘢𝘭𝘴𝘰 𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘺 𝘢𝘮𝘢𝘻𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘧𝘦𝘮𝘢𝘭𝘦𝘴 𝘧𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘴 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦." I've always thought Ma was a Girl Mum at her core, and through the circumstances of life ended up raising three boys on her own. But it felt like she was at least supposed to have one daughter to share all her energy, stories and sensibilities with.

I've taken stock in the fact that she'd be happy to know her son has so many sisters – amazing, talented and hard working women in his life, like Ma.

A few scenes from the mini doc 'Making Meaning' with @marinayang_

1. Every artist's studio tells a story about who they are and how they work. I am fascinated by the details and how everything is laid out.

2. I wanted to connect the background with the foreground and have it flow seamlessly as I racked focus. I also wanted to make the bell dangle at the end of the brush

3. Connecting the materials with the process. I wanted to capture the consideration and concentration as Marina works the canvas

4. There's a sense of serenity as an outsider observing an artist in their environment. You also start to feel the depth, the unfathomable amount of knowledge, time and dedication through years of practice... Something I try my best to capture on video, but can only hope to scratch the surface.

A very very special Sydney Marathon 2026 weekend.
So many words to say about the people who helped make this weekend so special, as so many new and old friends came together and connected through movement and community.

A special thank you to @on for always believing in our vision for the community at @chinatownrunclubsyd and @_calvin_tran_ and his amazing community at @rfrunclub , could not ask for a better guy to partner with for this manic weekend.

Our Who’s on Top race was a first but likely to be of many unsanctioned races and a massive thank you to the @on dynamic duo of @cooopeer and @kingpin_trytime for hustling with us to bring this to life!

A lot of this weekend is fuelled by the community and if it was not for you so many of these things would not happen. To the amazing support from the @chinatownrunclubsyd dumplings and the amazing brew from @sleepybloc and @_wakeandbrew_ .

Huge love to crews @am.pm.rc and @norulesrunning for showing out on Saturday for the global shakeout and crew market. Celebrating this weekend with so many people from all over the world will forever be a memory held very deeply.

And a very special thank you to @pilotputi who deals with the stresses of this every time and I always feel eternally supported by the best partner in life.

Renato , @theofficialcraigb , and everyone who's been an amazing mentor, teammate and fam this past 7 months, THANK YOU! I have much to technically work on—the best part is being in love with the work.

Wrestling is to suffer and find meaning in the suffering. We fight to live through it because everything is fighting and living. Tomorrow we're right back home—on the mats/roads/in the ring.
