POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Our team spent last week’s LA songwriting camp doing what we do best: watching the room and enjoying the tunes. Between the booth rotations, floor meetings, mystery rituals, and accessories with more personality than some plugins, a few patterns started to emerge. Full report attached. 🎚️

there was a fog in newbury park. it was the day it all went wrong. & when i woke up i was in shock. i still have a knife inside my heart. it’s a bad day, that’s the letterhead. it’s a bad day, it’s one i won’t forget. i’ll fake like it’s a badge of honour, but it’s a bad day to be left for dead.

Big love to @noplace.us 🖤 Had a blast working with these guys on this record. Can’t wait for the world to hear what we made. Shout out @blakesaulofficial and @marinoisdead for bringing me on. Stoked for everything that’s coming. Run it!

one of my favorite parts of writing records with @mikepepemusic @glowandthedark & @marinoisdead is dreaming of all the little parts i want to add on the drums. being able to jam those ideas out while we write the song & bounce ideas back and forth gives me the creative outlet i yearn for from time to time on the skins. the songs that we write are veritable feasts for percussion creativity. i am so blessed for that. it’s a skill that i relish using. this song felt particularly important for me to put some parts in it that felt very ME. this bridge is one of those parts. “Fog in Newbury Park (Bad Day)” is out now <3

2014 was a rough year for my mental health. but all these years later i finally feel at peace with telling a part of my story on wax. didn’t plan it but it’s kismet it fell during suicide awareness month. because at the end of the day that’s what this story is about. the rest is just set dressing. hopefully hearing about my trauma can help ease the burden of your own. you’re not alone.

“It’s a bad day…
To be left for dead”💀
— Fog in Newbury Park, ØV

I’ve probably forced a lot of y’all to listen to the demo of this song at some point… because it’s one of my favorite songs ever. I feel like a broken record, but it’s true!

Written by @olivverthekid + @marinoisdead + @mikepepemusic + me! I played electric, acoustic, & bass on it, too!
