Que dire de cette course…
1801 km / 5 jours 12h / 37000d+

TPRNo6 in retrospect. Another year (fourth time!) writing race reports and speaking to riders and taking pictures of Tomás taking pictures of cyclists. Good times in the Pequod. Thanks Liz for the new photo, always gets my good side (I hope). More pro cycling stuff coming v soon, bit of an ultra palate cleanser for now

DAHU TRAIL - FINISH LINE

On Friday morning, Marin completed the Dahu Trail in 3 days, 20 hours and 57 minutes, arriving in Saluzzo after riding through the night, with only a short stop before the summit of Colle del Sampeyre.

He kept smiling all the way to the finish, taking in the route with the same enthusiasm he had shown from the start.

The first two days had been tough on him, partly because of the intense heat in the valleys. But on Colle delle Finestre, Marin found his rhythm and from there he only seemed to get faster. With whole pizzas carried in his backpack and entire tins of anchovies among his supplies, he put his experience in managing multi-days efforts to good use, looking more and more at home as the fatigue was building for everyone.

At the finish, the Dahu crew welcomed him with a cold beer and one last plate of pasta, before he finally went off for a long sleep. But not before waiting for Pablo to arrive about an hour later, staying at the finish line to congratulate him as he crossed.

Congratulations Marin by the whole Dahu Trail crew!
