WELCOME TO THE WORLD, BABY SAIF! 🥹😭💙

I have the happiest news to share with all of you! My dear friend Rana has given birth to her fourth child and second son! 😭❤️

Everyone, meet baby Saif (سيف)! 🩵

In Arabic, Saif means “sword.” It is a name that symbolizes strength, courage, bravery, and protection. And what a beautiful, powerful name for a little boy born into a world where his family has already had to endure so much.

I can’t stop thinking about all the life ahead of him. His first smile, his first laugh, his first steps. Watching him discover the world, develop his own little personality, play with his siblings, and grow into the person he is meant to become. 🥹

I am so unbelievably excited to watch this beautiful little boy grow up. To celebrate his milestones, hear stories about his childhood, and hopefully one day meet him and give him the biggest hug!

My greatest wish for Saif is that he will never have to live up to the strength his name represents. That he will know a childhood defined by love, safety, laughter, and curiosity rather than fear and survival.

He deserves to grow up in a free Palestine, surrounded by his family, with every possibility in the world ahead of him.

Welcome to this world, sweet Saif. You are already so deeply loved, and I cannot wait to watch you grow. 🌷🇵🇸

And congratulations to Rana and her beautiful family! My heart is so full of happiness for all six of you! 😭💙

i have started working again following the past hospital visits. the amount needed (600 utilities, medication, food, 1,000 rent assistance) would help set my family up to not be struggling as much. no pressure to donate! i know we’re all struggling.

i can’t share the exact scenario out of fear but i wouldn’t be posting this if we didn’t need the assistance urgently 🪽 i am SAFE, just recovering

Today is Indigenous Peoples’ Day, and settlers owe reparations. Romane’s goal resets every Saturday. Last week, they only hit $32/$248. This target has been repeatedly unmet for months now. Lack of community care is pushing back Romane’s chance to leave for critically needed safety. Protecting and prioritizing their survival and wellbeing is a community responsibility. Please show up with immediate, intentional, and ongoing care.

What's a fall activity you participate in?

Romane is an AfroIndigenous

I know people are tired of seeing fundraisers. But imagine how tired my friends in Gaza are of having to ask for help just to feed their children.

They’re tired, too. Tired of worrying about food, clean water, and how they’ll survive another day.

But they don’t get to take a break from needing those things.

Our donation fatigue cannot matter more than their survival fatigue.

Please don’t stop showing up for them. ❤️

Week 5 | Goal: $600 | Raised: $75

It’s been nearly a week since Romane has had any movement. Their food goal has been repeatedly unmet for months now. Lack of community care is pushing back their chance to leave for critically needed safety. Romane’s survival and wellbeing must be protected and prioritized. This is a community responsibility. Please show up with immediate, intentional, and ongoing care.

We need to be practicing moral consistency. If we are vocal about the suffering of Palestinians then our behavior needs to reflect our words.

Walaa has not received a single donation in 14 days.

She is caring for five children, and four weeks into our $700 mutual aid goal, we have raised only $55.

Saying that Palestinian families deserve safety, food, medicine, shelter, dignity, and a future cannot be just talk. If we are vocal about their suffering and that they deserves relief and help that belief should shape what we do with our attention, our platforms, and—when we have the ability—our resources.

Solidarity is choosing to materially stand beside them.

Walaa’s children still need to eat. They still need protection from the coming winter. They still get sick. They still have ordinary childhood needs.

And their needs do not disappear because the algorithm moved on.

We have raised $55 of $700.

If you can give $5, $10, $20, or more, please do. If you cannot donate, share this with 5 people who you think can.

Palestinian lives matter to us, let that belief become something tangible.

We are staying with Walaa and her children until this goal is complete. 🇵🇸

First Sunday of October greetings! Only 2/3rds of goal was met this week further taking time away from long term of moving. Any amount adds up and is needed.

Would you rather go to orchard or a pumpkin patch?

You don’t give direct material aid because you feel pity. This is not saviorism, and it is not something we should congratulate ourselves for. There is no pat on the back for sending $5. ‼️

You give because you recognize the enormous harm that has been done—and that recognition without material action is not enough. For those of us whose governments and tax dollars have funded and enabled the destruction of Palestinian life, we cannot separate ourselves from that reality. We have a responsibility to respond materially. 🫡

Rana’s new mutual aid goal is $650.
Reparations are not charity. They are one small material response to an enormous injustice. 👶🏽🏥🍼

Fall season arrives! Romane last week had only 17% of their goal met for the necessity of FOOD!!! They are having to take from what they have saved to get to a safer environment. Cher their campaign I have it attached you know where. These posts gets up to a thousand eyes each week, if a third (~330) sent one piece of "cheddar" their goal can be exceeded.
