The words in Owo Nla Nla are more than lyrics—they are an affirmation, a manifestation.

A reminder that wealth is not something we chase endlessly. It already exists all around us, waiting to be recognized, received, and shared. The depths of the ocean hold immeasurable treasures, just as life holds abundance in ways we often overlook.

When we created the video for AJÉ, we wanted to reflect that truth. Beyond gold or material success, our greatest wealth is our family, our love, our community, our culture, and the opportunity to create music together.

May this song be an invitation to recognize the abundance already present in your life, while opening your heart to everything that is still on its way.

May wealth find its way to you.

Sometimes the most meaningful parts of a music video aren’t the ones you expect.

When our creative director sent me the hairstyle inspiration for AJÉ, I confidently said, “I can do that.”

The truth? We were trying to stretch our budget, so I took on the hair myself. What started as a way to save money became one of my favorite parts of the entire creative process.

Braids have been part of my life since I was a little girl. My mom @evamarlenerodriguezbarrera always braided my hair before school, and after years of trying to straighten it, embracing my natural hair again became part of embracing myself.

For this video, I wanted the hairstyle to celebrate my African heritage and the strength behind the message of AJÉ.

And yes… the secret to keeping it standing up came from a trip to Home Depot. 😂

Independent artists wear many hats, and sometimes… hairstylist is one of them.

What’s one detail in the video that caught your attention?
