Surrendering to the experience ✌🏼

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

The second half of 2026 has been off to a memorable start I want to look back on one day so I had to share:

3rd standalone marathon, @boulderthon (4th counting one in Ironman AZ) - was feeling great and confident for a sub-3:30 negative split until the leg started screaming around mile 14. Huge learning experience & know what I need to work on: not overstriding / increasing cadence! (FYI: Boulderthon is amazing but harder than the Colorado Marathon & Colfax Marathon IMO)

Hyrox sim with my big sis who crushed it! (1:15). Can’t wait for our next one on Halloween with her before we both do Hyrox Denver in November (Singles Pro Division for me). SO PROUD OF HER! Huge thanks to @sovrnperformancelab / @jon_davenport_ (He even let me use his shoes, since mine had zero tread).

Crushed a 14er with an awesome crew!

Volunteered at my 8th @loveyourbrain retreat - an unforgettable experience where I’m grateful I get to give hope and be inspired by the attendees. It’s a life-changing foundation, donate if you can!

Life is a gift, and I’m extra grateful I get to do it with great people. Get out of your comfort zone and enjoy the journey!

The @loveyourbrain retreat I attended this past week was a huge reminder of the importance of community.
The love, compassion, and vulnerability shared has followed me home, leaving a permanent imprint on my psyche. I’m incredibly grateful for the @loveyourbrain team creating this experience, allowing us all to connect in a safe place. 🙏❤️

My fundraiser will be active until the end of June if you would like to donate to the foundation. Link in bio

It’s hard to put into words what happened this week. Mind blowing? Life changing? Clarity granting? Heart filling? How about all of the above.

I attended a retreat with beautiful, open, resilient strangers who have all survived a traumatic brain injury in some way or form like myself. We shared our stories and resources, practiced mindfulness and yoga, and challenged the labels given to people with disabilities. We gained clarity, hope, techniques, positivity and a community of friends we can forever lean on for support when the outside world just doesn’t get it.

This experience was a game changer for many of us; a week I will always be grateful for. I will move forward carrying the lessons, mindset moves, and perspective I gained, and the powerful, strong, incredible family we created will stay close to my heart indefinitely. I am forever changed.

Thank you @loveyourbrain, @kevinpearce, @adam_pearce and everyone else who played a key role in this pivotal trip. You may not realize it, but you saved my life.

If you know anyone who has survived a TBI or experienced multiple concussions, please tell them about Love Your Brain or put them in contact with me. I would be happy to share my experience.

ALSO, the link to donate to this incredible organization is still in my bio if you want to contribute to its continued success.
