Special birthday shoutout to committee member Marissa! Marissa is a senior and turning 22 today, so make sure to wish her a happy birthday! She is our VP of Marketing and always has great ideas! When Marissa was 12, her mom took her to be an extra in Shameless where she got to meet the cast and hang out for the day! Marissa CANT WAIT to see you all of your D2D themed sheet signs and is even more excited to see you all on the pool deck! Happy Birthday Marissa! 🎊

Flexibility in macro and calorie tracking... I forgot to take a picture of the dinner (sorry!), but it was essentially chicken, rice and veggies all thrown together with guacamole on the side. Since I made this dinner for 4 people and didn’t measure how much I put on my plate, I couldn’t really track the macros or calories in it, however, I made a guess based off of similar meals/portion sizes I’ve eaten/tracked and just enjoyed my meal and friends.
You don’t NEED to track EVERYTHING to be successful, because do you really know exactly how many calories you burned throughout each varying day? It’s all guesswork that’s supported by science. Do your best and if you aren’t seeing the results you want, then try taking the next step to eliminate some guesswork. At the end of the day though, fitness and nutrition should add to your happiness and confidence, not add a bunch of stress.

The meal is jasmine rice with chicken breast, mushrooms, and a little bacon and then a wide range of (frozen) veggies, including carrots, corn, broccoli, peppers, onions, peas and asparagus, with guacamole on the side of course.

Tag a good cook! #chicken #rice #dinner #friends #macros #calories #guacamole #avacado #veggies #fitness #nutrition #fit #gains #lifting #powerlifting #cutting #exercise #bacon
