LAST FRESNELLIES!

Fresnellies of 2025 (aka Theater Award Ceremony)

walked away this year with three awards, a letter, and an honor cord (that I will receive next year). this year was an incredible year for many reasons. to start, I got to have a lot of fun directing The Last Course with some of the underclassmen, and it’s always fun to hang out backstage with @zacharygrape, @bking_590, Lucas, and @almostdecentguy. Johnning with Jaden and @login2007.png was also truly spectacular. thank you to everyone who has supported me through the last couple of years, theater is truly the place I feel the most loved. ONE MORE YEAR OF HIGH SCHOOL THEATER TO GO!!

“To be, or not to be? That is the question.” This is the very question that, in a theatrical sense, separates the common and basic theatrics from more superior and dramatic performances. The choice to either be the best actor/director/designer/crew member you can be, or to allow yourself to not give your all and only present the bare minimum. This performance of Hamlet, while stressful to put together, turned out to be a magnificent work put on by talented performers and organized by a group of wonderful directors and crew members. The seniors in this show will be missed, but you may all rest assured that this theater is in good hands thanks to the guidance, mentorship, and leadership of you wonderful individuals. “May flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.”

Hamlet!

With that our final MainStage with the seniors has come to an end.

I still can’t believe it’s over. This show was intense, emotional, and absolutely unhinged in the most interesting way possible (just to put it mildly) —and I wouldn’t have it any other way. From very very very ghost sightings (I love you Izzy) to backstage existential crises, this experience has been something I’ll never forget.

To our beautiful and amazing seniors: thank you for making this so unforgettable. You’ve been role models, inspirations, chaos goblins, and above all, family. Watching you take your final bows hit harder than any senior speech, and no, I’m still not crying (I may be but just a little). You’ve left a legacy that’ll live on long after the curtain call, and I’m gonna miss you all so much it’s actually insane.

I’ll hold onto every memory, every laugh, and every tech week meltdown, I love you guys endlessly.

Quick appreciation for all those moments that will become memories, like Salem’s and Lucas’ improv, the canes interaction with the gift cards, cleaning Salems car, the blood gig, tea getting bottled, etc. I could go on and on but you know what I’m trying to say.
