A final look at SOMY, the surf/skate brand I created and ran between 2020 and 2022. I’ve been revisiting the project over the past few weeks and adding more of the work to the case study. It’s been good to see just how much went into it, from the custom logotype and artist collaborations to apparel, packaging, eCommerce and social. It’s still the project in my portfolio that’s closest to the kind of brand work I want to do more of at Good AM. I’m looking to work with more surf and lifestyle brands that are growing or evolving and need their branding to catch up. If you’re building something in the surf space, I’d love to have a chat.

A little July roundup - a month of some milestones, new trails and new gear 👉 Almost a year in the making. Our first ever technical hiking pants landed at Outwest HQ, and one of the most technical products we’ve developed to date 🙌 Months of refining, tweaking the fit, fabric, adjustable waistband and leg length, plus plenty of testing, went into getting these right. More new gear landed 👀 We grew our range to include new Technical Tops as well as fresh colours in some of our bestselling Technical Half Zips. We took them straight out to shoot around the Dingle Peninsula for a very sunny day on some beautiful trails ⛰️ And the shots turned out amazing 📸 Props to our whole team @aidans_lens @oldyarnproductions @adrienne.mullen and @mariusmonaghan. We welcomed the @headinthewild crew down to Dingle for a weekend of exploring, including an incredible day hiking Mount Brandon. It was one very good weekend in Dingle. ☀️ They must have enjoyed themselves because we’re already booked to come back next year! Four years on Green Street 🎂 July marked four years since we first opened the doors of our Dingle store! Thanks to everyone who’s walked through those doors over the past four years. Lots of sunshine means T-shirt weather! You’ve been loving our graphic T-shirts and instore exclusives, so much so we had to restock in the summer to keep up 🌞 A special meeting with the Portuguese Embassy in Dublin 🇵🇹 We talked all things manufacturing and building on our relationships in Portugal. It’s been a hugely important part of our supply chain since the early days of Outwest, and we’re excited to deepen those ties as we continue to grow. Meanwhile, our newest home is enjoying its first summer (spy our Greystones instore exclusive long sleeve!). It’s been a busy few weeks in Greystones, and we’re planning a little summer party before the season wraps up 🥳 It will be in the evening of Friday, August 21st. If you’re free, we’d love to see you all there! More details coming soon. 👀 And that’s July wrapped. New products, new relationships, new trails and a pretty big birthday. Not a bad month out west. ☀️

What a day in Dingle shooting our new collection 📸 Back to where Outwest began, we started with the morning at Pedlar’s Lake before heading on an adventure for the day. We’re so lucky to have these breathtaking views and trails on our doorstep in Dingle, and we don’t take it for granted for a second ⛰️ We cannot wait to share the collection with you all! #outwest #newcollection #ireland

Sometimes it’s not about the big moments, but about watching for the little ones and capturing how they play out. Great to spend a few days in Clare with @christie_mccann and the @redbullire team, with @andrew_cotty @pedro2468 , @bercahill and all the gang.

Had a great few days wit @redbullire and some of irelands biggest influencers on my home beach last week. Top moment for me was defending my flag title against @mariusmonaghan .... cant keep an old dog down haha. In fairness he whooped me in the first race..... had to represent on the second..... till next time. #beachflags #ireland #redbull #jetskifun #havenfun aintbadforanauldlad
