The last Super-Sonic Jam at Skatecafe of 2026 was a magical one! We linked up with Brussels-based platform VOLTA to connect the Amsterdam community with the Brussels scene, and this connection sounded epic! With Diana Sidibé leading the jam and an all-star band consisting of @dianasax, @maurice_declerck, @casellavie, @helena_casella, @sinephro_alice, @ginocochise, @ginogroeneveld, @jaydiandaniel and @yasper._, it was a night that lifted our spirits and brought such immaculate vibes that we’re still not over it. On top of that, it was the two-year anniversary of @dianasax and @maurice_declerck meeting and falling in love at the October Super-Sonic Jam of 2024. <3 Big love to the band, @voltabxl, @arnehuysmans, all the artists from Brussels, all the artists who played along, hashtaggharry, @lucas_vonk, our volunteers, the bus driver, @skatecafeamsterdam, and of course, the best community and crowd! See you at Super-Sonic Jazz Festival 20-21-22 November<3 Videos by @tycho.vanveenshots

WHAT AN AMAZING NIGHT. SCENERY × CAT - JAPANESE JAZZ TRIBUTE 🇯🇵 Two iconic records. Two sets. One very special night. It still feels a bit like a dream to be able to pick some of my favorite records, bring together amazing musicians, and see them work with so much passion and energy to reinterpret these albums live. And then… a full sold-out room, listening with such attention from beginning to end. Kind of magical. A huge thank you to Jerry Kuan for making this possible, and to the whole trio for all the work behind this special night: Jerry Kuan - keys Emanuel Van Mieghem - double bass Marius Loer - drums And for the Cat set, two very special guests: Marius Rabbe - trombone Maxime Dereux - saxophone Scenery was even more beautiful and emotional than I expected. And Cat brought that very special groove and energy that makes this record so unique. This one will definitely stay in my memory. Thank you Sounds for making nights like this possible. Thank you to this incredible Brussels scene and all the musicians who keep surprising me. And most of all, thank you to the crowd for showing up, listening, trusting the programming and being there more and more often. ❤️ It gives us even more energy to keep pushing these kinds of nights. And October is already looking crazy. The full program is online. See you at the next one.

THANK YOU FOR THIS AMAZING NIGHT. 🖤 Last night at SOUNDS was FULLY SOLD OUT for our tribute to Mac Miller. A room packed with love, energy and respect for an artist who built such a unique bridge between hip hop, soul, funk and jazz. On stage, a new generation of jazz musicians and MCs came together to celebrate that legacy in their own way. Live music, rhymes, improvisation, groove and a crowd giving everything back. This is exactly why these tribute nights exist. Not to copy the past, but to keep the music alive, reinterpret it and pass it on. We did it. Together. RIP MAC MILLER.
THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO CAME, PLAYED, RAPPED, JAMMED AND SHARED THE ENERGY. 🖤 SOUNDS, BRUSSELS
