POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Painting in watercolours may look easy but it is definitely not. It requires both a loose hand and quick stroke of the brush while coordinating deftness and precision. Organised by @mark.j.ryan for his red beanie swim group and associates at
@sydneycommunitycollege, we received professional watercolour painting tuition from the extraordinary @saba.watercolour as our teacher.
With thanks to @keryncurtis for the original creation of this reel. And @jfen1325 @suzeandrews99 @johncollee @stephennmadden @debsnow77 for the bonhomie and wisecracks. #artclass #watercolourpaintings #weekendvibes

Another year of our swim group, this year almost exclusively at Dawn Fraser Baths (Dawnies). 20 laps a few times a week (mostly), coffee competitions and lots of excellent badinage. Forays into painting led by our artist in residence, @mark.j.ryan, and an exhibition of our collective work at the pool this Saturday 29 Nov 2025. Come down for a swim and say hi! Thanks to @innerwestcouncil for humouring us!

CALL OUT ‼️

Process: processed; processing; processes

Following the success of our 2024 exhibition, we are thrilled to present PROCESS•ED once again in 2025.

This exhibition invites a deeper exploration of art making, examining not only the final outcomes but also the multifaceted nature of the creative process itself.
We seek to uncover the diverse ways artists engage with their materials, concepts, and constraints, embracing decision making, experimentation, failure, and serendipity as integral components of artistic creation.

Submissions are welcome at any stage of development, from initial explorations to fully realised works. We also encourage the creation of new work that evolves throughout the course of the exhibition.

Exhibition dates 1 – 23 February 2025
Opening Saturday 1 Feb 3 - 5pm

Submissions due Saturday 25 January 2025
