Another week has gone by, and Kenyan athletes continue to dominate the highest-level competitions. It is becoming increasingly difficult to imagine a D1 Championship podium without athletes from Kenya, both in the men's and women's races.
The main exception to this trend was New Zealand's Hannah Gapes, who secured a comfortable victory in the women's race at Notre Dame.
Among the European men, notable performances came from the French duo Thibaut Tauziede and Joad Martinho, as well as the British runners Edward Bird and George Couttie.
Finally, regarding the Spanish athletes, there was a prestigious victory for Gipuzkoan runner Martín Iriondo, while two brave competitors, Mark Roper and Fikadu González, earned well-deserved recognition for their courageous efforts, always willing to take the initiative in their respective races in Tuscaloosa and College Station.

FSU Invitational 10/9/26

We came into this meet with a few goals. The first one was to win it. The second one was to improve our 4-8 guys. I am one of those 4-8 guys.

The race was not easy, but we were able to win the meet and accomplish some of these goals. On Friday, we will race again. Same goals, different expectations.

The following meet will be our C-USA Cross Country Championship.

Nothing gets me more pumped than XC.

Shout out to @shaddy_starboy_ for the win and @tate.janssen for the sick photos

We are now at the halfway point of the U.S. collegiate cross-country season, and all athletes with serious ambitions have already competed.

At the national level, this weekend's Nuttycombe Invitational in Wisconsin stood out thanks to the exceptionally high standard of the participating universities, leading to several key conclusions:

Kenyan athletes are clearly going all in this season and are aiming for the top honors in both the men's and women's categories.
Americans Hansen and Kitchen appear to be among the strongest local hopes in the men's competition.
The team titles are far more open than in previous years, with no clear favorites emerging so far.

From a Spanish perspective, some of the best prospects are currently competing in NCAA Division II, particularly Catalan athlete Pau Valderrama and Madrid's Ainara Sainz de Rozas.

This weekend, Mark Roper from the Balearic Islands, Iker Prados from Catalonia, and Naiara García from Andalusia delivered the most impressive performances among the Spanish athletes.

We survived Hurricane Isaias at FSU Invitational..

The 8k this morning was super tough but our men’s team managed to take the win🏆

I personally ran a good race finishing 11th overall, considering the trees were coming down and everything

Okay I might be exaggerating a little bit, it wasn’t bad at all.

Anyways next week we’ll be back racing at UNA for a faster course this time.

Stay tuned for more content! 🐓 @jaxstate_xctf

First XC meet of the season is in the books🏆

It was brutal heat out there, but we got the job done. I finished in the top 10 with a time of 15:36.

As a team, we put six guys in the top 10 and took the win.

Next up in the series is an 8k, and I can’t wait to keep building on this 🤝
