Light Up the Room With HIM 💡

Matthew 5: 14-16: ““You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”

“You love him even though you have never seen him. Though you do not see him now, you trust him; and you rejoice with a glorious, inexpressible joy.”-1 Peter‬ ‭1‬:‭8‬ ‭NLT‬‬

-Having community has been one of the most crucial parts of me growing with Christ. When you first give your life to Jesus, you are in a transition season of giving up old things and surrendering your life to him. This is when you need people to lift you up in prayer because it’s not always easy. It never is easy honestly. You finally feel the love that God has for you but what about when the world starts criticizing you and you start losing friends?
-What about when you have to get rid of things that are no longer serving you? God restores and redeems. He will send you people that you do need so that you are not alone. I would encourage you to find a local church and make best friends for life there. I thank God for the friends that I now have I would not have been able to do it without them🙏
-practical steps:
-1. Find a young adults night near you
-2. Ask anyone at church if they’re in a small group and if you can tag along
-3. Don’t isolate through hard seasons. Ask for prayer.
-4. Let God work through you so transformation can begin (surrender and obedience. Live with an open hand and let God drive the car just be the passenger)
