PTC’27 is shaping up to be one of the most important gatherings our industry has ever seen. The people, the ideas, the sheer concentration of leaders building the future of digital infrastructure, all in one place, at one of the best conference venues in the world.

And in the days leading up to it, something extraordinary is happening too.

Because the partnerships that change companies, and careers, aren’t only sparked in a keynote or on a show floor. Sometimes they begin somewhere quieter. When the agenda disappears. When conversations become genuine. When trust is built one step, one story, one shared experience at a time.

That’s why, in partnership with Pacific Telecommunications Council (PTC), Nomad Futurist created the Nomad Ho’ohui Invitational.

Not another golf tournament. Not another networking event.

An experience built to bring the leaders shaping the future of digital infrastructure to one of the most inspiring places on earth.

Set against the backdrop of Hawaiʻi, this is where relationships are built differently, ideas are shared openly, and a community comes together with a purpose far greater than business alone.

The field is intentionally limited. Not for exclusivity’s sake. Because the best conversations don’t happen in crowds.

🎥 Watch the video below. Then ask yourself:

Who would you spend four uninterrupted hours walking a golf course with, if you wanted to shape the future of our industry?

Tag them. ⬇️

⛳ Nomad Hoʻohui Invitational
📍 Kapolei Golf Club, Hawaiʻi
📅 January 15–16, 2027 (Prior to PTC’27)

Registration is open: https://lnkd.in/grPES8GC

These past few days have been deeply inspiring; filled with ideas, connections, and moments that remind me why I do this work.

I’m incredibly honored to be named the 2025 #iMAwards iMasons Education Champion. To see our efforts at Nomad Futurist recognized in this way means a lot. It’s not just about what we’ve built so far, but about what’s ahead: ensuring the flow of talent into data infrastructure, especially from communities that often get left out.

One thing I’m especially proud of is our Nomad Futurist Academy; it’s a free, globally accessible platform. We’ve opened doors for learners from kindergarten through to career-changers, offering hands-on mentorship, modules on cloud, connectivity, data centers, and a pathway to job placement.

Also grateful for the partnerships that make scaling this possible with organizations like iMasons and the Open Compute Project Foundation.

Congratulations to all the finalists this year; your leadership and work matter, and I’m honored to be counted among you.

Thank you to my team, our partners and everyone who showed up for the conversations, the socials, and the shared vision. Let’s keep pushing forward educating, emraigpowering, and building a digital future that includes everyone.

Nomad Futurist x CXC Hackathon: Inspiring the Next Generation!

We’re proud to support Canada’s largest student-run hackathon, CXC Hackathon by Waterloo Data Science Club (@uwaterloodsc)! This aligns with our mission to educate, inspire, and empower the next generation of technology leaders.
During the Opening Ceremony, Ilissa Miller (@ilissanyc)—Advisor to the Board and Ambassador for the Nomad Futurist Foundation, and Founder & CEO of iMiller Public Relations (iMPR) (@imillerpr)—will take the stage to introduce our mission and commitment to inspiring and empowering the next generation of technology leaders. Later that day, Ilissa will lead an engaging workshop, giving students and participants a sneak peek into the Nomad Futurist learning and development platform, offering even more opportunities to learn, grow, and innovate.

Hackathons like CXC provide a platform for young minds to push boundaries, solve real-world challenges, and build the future of technology. By supporting these initiatives, we are investing in future leaders, disruptors, and visionaries who will shape the world of tomorrow.

A huge shoutout to the incredible students, mentors, and organizers making this event possible. We can’t wait to see the emerging creativity, collaboration, and breakthroughs!
