Snippets of life lately 🎞️

It has been a whirlwind of emotions, and there aren’t enough words to fully express everything that has happened. Yet through it all, God has been faithful. I’m still here, alive, enthusiastic, grateful, and praising Him every step of the way!!

Indeed, everything in this world is temporary. But I praise God for allowing me to experience His love and grace in such a tangible way through the people He places in my life—and that includes you, Ate Katie.

Today, I still find myself mourning and celebrating at the same time. Mourning because goodbyes are never easy, but celebrating because God has been so good and so faithful.

I am incredibly grateful that I got to be part of your 8 years in Cebu. You have truly been my Philippians 1:3. My leader, my friend, my sister, and at times, even my mom. You have impacted so many lives, including mine, because you faithfully sought to imitate Christ in the way you lived, loved, and served.

Watching you process this season with faith and surrender has been such an encouragement. God gave you beautiful confirmations and promises, and you courageously followed His will. I will always be grateful for your example.

Things will be different, and many things will change, but I find comfort in knowing that we serve the same God who never changes.

Thank you for loving, leading, praying for, and believing in me. You will always hold a special place in my heart.

I love you so much, Ate Katie. Know that Cebu will always be your home.

A love letter to Cebu & everyone there 💌

I remember it like it was yesterday. The day I received a phone call bringing up the idea of living & working in the Philippines. 1% of me was intrigued and the other 99% of me balked at the idea. Me? I could never. I would never. I loved my life too much to walk away from it. But God in His graciousness showed me that my fear of living overseas stemmed from a tight grip on my own life and an unwillingness to fully allow Him be Lord of all things.
Fast forward to yesterday and saying my final goodbyes: an island 8,237 miles away from my childhood became my home, a people who spoke a different language became deep comforts, and a culture brighter than the sun brought deep joy.
God has so graciously changed so many things about me, and most enjoyably, He has changed my trust in Him through bringing me to Cebu. I understand His character and His glory more clearly than ever before! There were dozens upon dozens of dark & emotionally overwhelming days, but there were hundreds upon hundreds of days that the preciousness of fellowship with God soothed my soul unimaginably. I praise Him. “And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.” ‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭5‬:‭10
So now I’m leaving home to go home, leaving friends to see friends, switching languages to still speak my own, missing a place that will always have a part of my heart, all while looking forward to all that God is going to teach me in Kansas City!! To my coworkers, ambassador team, LWIT family, F45 family, Trifona babes and more: I love you more than you know!! I didn’t know my heart could love this much - thanks for all you’ve done to make Cebu home these past few years 🤍

All praise to God for creating me and continuously molding me. Thankful for every lesson from my 22, for His constant provision and countless blessings, and for the gift of family and friends who walk with me through every season. Stepping into 23 with a grateful heart, trusting God for more growth, grace, and purpose. ✨🙌🏻
