WORKSHOP: Embodied Sound, Dharma, and Restorative Yoga

Saturday, October 24, 1:30-3:00pm @yoga_unbound

Register with link in my bio

This workshop will hold space for you to experience your Restorative Yoga asana practice at a deeper level.

In this 90 minute workshop, you will experience a full hour of Restorative Yoga sequence, with a guided meditation Dharma talk accompanied by numerous sound healing instruments.

The final 30 minutes, two different variations of Shavasana poses will be offered, with deeper sound healing to call your mind /body to rest and restore. The last 30 minutes will involve no talking and more intense frequencies to unbind and reset your mind/brain into a place where only sound speaks to healing your heart.

Stay tuned for more information to come regarding this workshop. In the meantime, I offer Restorative Yoga and sound healing every Wednesday from 5 to 6:15.

Save these dates and come practice at Yoga Unbound on Freret Street; across from Rouses

I’m a student first and foremost. Always.

@hotelpeterandpaul was the setting for this year’s @nolayogafest, a place I visited as a child for a funeral, years later for a wedding, and now a yoga festival. Life has a beautiful way of bringing us back to places with entirely new meaning.

And to share this experience with @markbergernola, the creator of NOLA Yoga Fest, someone I went to #McMain with? Just another reminder that the seeds of our lives are often planted long before we know what they’ll grow into.

Grateful to be in the room, to keep learning, to move, to breathe, and to remember that no matter how much I teach, I will always be a student first 🧘🏽‍♀️💗

See you on the mat this week!

Monday - 7:30pm Hot Yoga at @wildlotusyoga
Tuesday - 7:00am Rise & Shine Flow at @wildlotusyoga

I looove being a fly on the wall at events & capturing all the moments 🫶🏼

I recently had the privilege of photographing the New Orleans Yoga Festival @nolayogafest hosted by @markbergernola at @hotelpeterandpaul . Mark brought together teachers from across the country with a wide range of practices and perspectives, including classes and experiences that aren’t often offered here in New Orleans.

What a beautiful weekend of movement, learning and community. Can’t wait for next year!

It’s taken me almost a week to really integrate everything I felt and experienced at the New Orleans Yoga Festival… and honestly, I’m still taking it all in. 🤍

What an incredible weekend. I was truly blown away by the teachers, the offerings, the knowledge, the talent, and most of all, everyone who showed up and brought their beautiful energy into the space.

I had the opportunity to participate in several sessions myself, and I received so much—emotionally, physically and spiritually. There was such a depth of wisdom and so many profound gifts being shared throughout the festival. I feel incredibly grateful and honoured to have been part of it.

And of course, getting to share our offering alongside my beautiful friend Tara @taraloftylove made it even more special. We made A LOT of cacao 😂🤎 and had the honour of guiding our Cacao Ceremony, moving together through ecstatic dance—and getting to create and share the music, another one of my great loves—and then bringing it all home with a deeply nourishing sound bath, surrounded by what felt like every instrument Tara and I own! 🤩

Holding space for everyone who joined us was truly an honour. Thank you for trusting us, opening your hearts, moving your bodies, receiving the sound and sharing your energy with us.

And a huge thank you to Mark @markbergernola for inviting us to be part of this beautiful festival and for everything he did behind the scenes to bring it all to life. I know how much goes into creating something like this, and I truly believe it touched so many hearts.

My heart is very full. So much gratitude for the connections, the community, the laughter, the learning, the healing and the magic.

What a beautiful weekend for New Orleans. 🫶🏽

Already looking forward to next year. 🤍🙏🏽

And if you feel called to experience cacao more intimately, I offer private Cacao Ceremonies and beautiful Couples Cacao Ceremonies through Iridescence Healing. Feel free to reach out to me for more information. 🤎

LILA!!!

It has taken me a full week to digest the gifts that were received from the New Orleans YOGA festival! This weekend was full of LILA.

LILA is the Sanskrit term that means Divine play. Lila means that our world is in a spontaneous creation of the ONE God. Goodness and Grace.

We are supported and playful, free from self absorption.

Lila allows us to step into freedom and playful creativity. Our whole world is a stage for us to remember, and become more of who we really are. Authentic!

The New Orleans yoga festival held space for us to play, reflect and receive Yoga Asana, Music, Sound Healing, Rest, and most of all a RENEWAL of our Self into the WHOLENESS that we already are!

It was a privilege to see so many of my teachers, colleagues, fellow yogis all coming to our mats to face ourselves with love. Yoga allows us to accept ourselves of who we are and are created to be. NOW.

Much gratitude and honor for the invitation to teach from my heart and give the teachings and passion of Restorative Yoga. “I am a forever student of yoga who teaches.” JHL

So lovely to be accompanied by Rebecca Crenshaw and her violin.

Much gratitude for Mark Berger for creating this festival in our magical city of New Orleans. Thank you to the teachers who held space for us.

A big welcome home to Sean Johnson and the Wild Lotus Band.
First time and welcome to Ananda Das @anandadas108, glad to have you in our city. Please come back again.

Ananda, You inspire from your heart to ours with your music, dance, and play! LILA!

Open hearts, freedom, and the practice of Bhakti Yoga was at its highest!
CANNOT WAIT FOR NEW ORLEANS YOGA FESTIVAL 2027!

What a profoundly beautiful weekend at @nolayogafest ❤️
It was offering after offering of wonder, love, quality connection, and inspiration. I was deeply honored to play with my band @radbhav
Emphasizing compassion, the lotus came through as a symbol of the beauty of the soul, the beauty of love. Like a lotus, may we open our hearts when touched by life’s pain, so we may care more deeply, hold more tenderly, and recognize our innate interconnectedness 🙏🪷

I’m terrible at recognizing my own accomplishments + acknowledging anniversaries so this is 2 months late but…

I’ve officially been producing and hosting comedy shows in New Orleans for over 2 years now 🥂 and what a fun, frustrating, chaotic, ultimately rewarding rollercoaster it has been.

I’m #blessed to have shared the stage with so many talented comics and grateful for every moment, for every laugh (or awkward science), and for everyone who has supported me along the way.

Here are some of my fave stages I’ve been on + shows/festivals I’ve performed at over the last 2 years. Looking forward to seeing where year 3 takes me 👽
