The strongest cultural ecosystems don’t develop in isolation. They grow through exchange, curiosity, and connection.

At Flourish, we believe there is tremendous value in bringing people across the art ecosystem into conversation with leaders who are thinking differently about what cultural institutions can be.

At Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM), Flourish convened art collectors and cultural leaders for a private tour and conversation with Director Franklin Sirmans. The group included leaders and members connected to Hyde Park Art Center, the MCA Women’s Board, Emerge, the MCA Board, and former members of the Art Institute of Chicago, bringing a range of perspectives to the conversation.

Together, we explored how PAMM is thinking about leadership, collecting, community, and what it means for a museum to authentically reflect the culture and complexity of the city it serves.

It was more than a museum visit. It was an opportunity to understand the thinking behind the work, exchange ideas across institutions and cities, and build relationships that can create new possibilities.

This is part of how Flourish works: connecting people across the art ecosystem to leaders, institutions, and ideas that broaden perspectives and strengthen the networks that move the art world forward.

We’re grateful to Franklin and the PAMM team for welcoming us and sharing so openly; to Hyde Park Art Center for helping bring this experience together; and to Baker McKenzie for its generous sponsorship and support.

We left Miami energized by the exchange—and excited about the ideas and relationships we continue to build in Chicago.

That’s the art of the possible.

Thank you to everyone who made the inaugural Vernissage Champagne Brunch a success! This exciting new take on our signature evening event was made possible by the incredible support of our attendees, the MCA Women’s Board, my co-chair Tonya Geesman, Women’s Board President Rachel Grund, the MCA staff, and the leadership teams at EXPO/Tony Karmen, Frieze and Northern Trust.
With nearly 500 attendees, we can proudly call this MCA–EXPO–Frieze-Northern Trust collaboration a true accomplishment. Cheers to the next! #mcachicago #expochicago2025 #frieze #northerntrust
