A recent styling project in Islington, London.

A redesigned townhouse, brought back to a simple palette of natural materials, soft tones and considered architectural details.

We worked alongside @artifactlighting to style the space, bringing together handmade pieces and collected objects with the lighting.

We loved bringing a few older pieces into the newly finished space.

A look into the workshop of woodturner Mark Fireeye.

Mark works with timber sourced locally in Dorset, supplied by arborists, gardeners and Dorset Coppice Group. Much of his work begins with green wood, still holding its natural moisture, which makes it possible to shape using traditional hand tools.

His practice has grown from an interest in how wood was worked before the age of machinery, drawing inspiration from old wooden treen and traditional forms from Nordic, Eastern European and Japanese craft.

Bowls are turned on a 1970s lathe, while spoons, scoops and kaksa are carved by hand. Once turned, the green wood is left to dry before being finished with food safe linseed oil.

We love the thought behind these pieces, made from local woods and intended to be used for years to come.

Still daydreaming about this epic two day journey with @nic_westermann of @hewnandhone at the beautiful @woodlandmakers Bowl Gathering last week. Teaching knife making to a complete beginner/novice/nervy ol so & so like me is no small feat, and I appreciate greatly how Nic & Fuzz held this process, and how lovely and supportive our group was as we journeyed through this differently. And the presence of our guardian Waffle was equally soothing and adorable. Thanks again to alllll who opened up this wonderful world @yoav.kafets @william_st_clair @fuzz.maz (And apologies again about nearly wounding you Nic 😬🙈)

It’s been a few days since I changed my evening meals.
I’ve been sleeping badly for years and have tried quite a few things: relaxation techniques, essential oils, dietary supplements and barbiturates… with rather disappointing results.
So I’m trying a new approach: eating much earlier and having lighter, less fatty meals.
So far, the results are decent: I’m waking up less often during the night and it seems my sleep quality has improved.
Tonight’s dinner: thinly sliced ham, mozzarella and half a cucumber. For dessert, Greek yoghurt with a spoonful of honey and a mix of nuts and raisins.

Every market has a tale.

What day! It is fab to be out and about with BAO at The Retreat in the New Forest.

So today I met people I had previously stalked and admired on Instagram in real life.

I meet up with other stall holders I have met before - repeat meet ups.

I met Nicola who had reprinted some of her Grandmothers amazing artwork and also her Mum visited and bought her some BAO.

The set up was epic at the Retreat, The Secret Scavenger was in front of the fireplace and I was the door monitor.

The fresh flowers on my stall looked stunning.

One new customers who was suffering with irritation on her wrists, trialled BAO in the morning and rushed back in the afternoon to buy some Skin Saviour Balm as it calmed down her skin and you could see real improvement in just a few hours. It was the highlight of my day.

I continued to work on my BAO wave.

Also my God Mother came to visit and it was at the Retreat, previously called Scappers or something along those lines, where she went on her 1st date with her now husband 60ish years ago. I love the history.

Next week is exciting to at The Big Swim in Sandbanks with @landandwave. It would be super lovely if it was sunny. See you there?
