+ Special Guest Mark Warren!

11/1 | 6PM | $30ADV / $40DOS | All Ages

Fabio Frizzi
Composer, orchestrator and conductor, Fabio Frizzi, with over one hundred film and television soundtracks, winner of numerous awards, followed in the footsteps of the masters of Italian cinema.

He worked alongside famous Italian directors and his collaboration with Lucio Fulci lasted from 1975 to 1990.

In 2013 the project "FRIZZI 2 FULCI" was born, a tribute to the cinema of Lucio Fulci. Frizzi, accompanied by a band of great musicians, after the legendary debut at the Union Chapel in London, tours the world with this show, which traces the entire musical history of the collaboration. The long suites of progressive rock flavor attract many fans everywhere, in Europe, North America, the Middle East...

Lucio Fulci's legacy
The story of Lucio's life unfolds through his family and romantic experiences, consistently marked by dark and unfortunate tones.

His close relationship with his crew, who always loved and respected him, considering him their leader, even during the most delicate moments of filmmaking.
And the page about his often conflicted relationship with the actors and actresses who accompanied him.

His eclecticism, his poetics, his love of cinema and storytelling. His artisanal approach, which over the years has become a reference and an example for entire generations of directors around the world.

Lucio Fulci's artistic legacy, told by his collaborators, his daughters, and his illustrious admirers, who will explain the reasons behind this "movement" of enthusiasts, so transversal in age and spread across the globe.

The soundtrack for the work consists of music that Fabio Frizzi (widely considered his reference composer) wrote for Lucio Fulci's films, performed by Fabio and his band.

It’s mah birfday! Come party with me and these phenomenal musicians as I enter middle age. I’m putting out a chill lil solo release recorded by @weinerface420 at this, too.
@caseydoran_ (an incredibly prolific artist, who I am so fortunate to know) took this picture and the love of my life (and also an incredibly prolific artist) @ededderson made it into a flier for me. I am excited and I hope you can swing by!

Finally got a chance to get through most of the pictures I took from the NoWords festival that I curated this past May. A lot took place on that day and all I remember is seeing smiles on people’s faces. The bands were all excellent in their performances and everyone was pretty happy to witness such a mixture of cultures celebrating freedom together in the famous art district of @little5pointsofficial. Sometimes I wish I could go back and relive this day but I’m glad I was able to capture it so I can relive it anytime I desire. Looking forward to the next one but until then, be kind, be safe, drink water and live out your muthafuckin dreams 🔮

This past Saturday was the first ever Melodic Monster Fest and it was a great time. The weather was nice and the musicians brought the energy to the stage. The flow of the day was quite the journey starting off with LoFi vibes from @silkk_tha_chakras going into electronic energy from @killeeyun, @artrip.tv and @markfwarren. @jumprat serenaded the universe with his guitar while @therealidrisfrench, @victormariachi and @jackpres brought Hip-Hop to the forefront. The night ended with art rock, psychedelic, stoner rock music from @ears_and_horns, @drugula_atl and @melodicmonsterband (not pictured because I was on stage). The best thing about the event was how everyone came together to make it happen and I look forward to the next Melodic Monster Fest! Until next time, be safe, be kind, drink water and live out your dreams 🔮

From Electronic to Hip Hop to Rock and Roll, Melodic Monster Fest also features live art and visuals to immerse you into the experience. There will also be an open house for the studios located inside of the RDA building where you can meet different artists in their studios. This is the first but not the last Melodic Monster Fest and we will continue to grow as the years go by so come by and enjoy great music and great art with others as we celebrate the world of psychedelia! This is an outside event so dress according to the weather.
