Had the privilege of shooting BTS footage for @kollarclothing’s F/W 2021 collection over the summer as a PA. The footage has been sitting in a folder on my desktop for several months because I didn’t have the confidence to create something with it.

As a creator, this is something I go through often. The lack of confidence puts me through a rabbit hole of excuses. “I didn’t have the right equipment, I don’t have the time, I wasn’t feeling this one.” Truth is, the only things I lack are patience & trust in the process.

In short, my lack of confidence derives from the illusion of perfectionism. I didn’t want to put out work that “just wasn’t there yet” and feared what people might think. But, over time, I’ve realized that the real reward is in the process of creating and not the finished piece itself.

Creating art for art’s sake is far more important than money & validation (although I do appreciate the love and dollar bills) I find that I’m always happiest when I’m in my zone.

Special thanks to sensei @markgallardo_ for always putting me on. Always clutch with the no-bullshit wisdom & a great influence to the photography community.

When a photographer and a hairstylist colllab. This is what the result is. Always love working with this dude. One of the hardest working artists out there, his work is always inspiring to me. Thank you again for trusting me with your hair. @markgallardo_

Strength redefined. Whether I’m training in or out of the gym, strength goes beyond just muscle. Training is an avenue for me to not only push myself past my physical abilities but it allows me to reset mentally and destress everyday to ground myself to live each day as the best version I can be in the moment.

Share what strength defined means to you, tag me and @muscletech, hashtag #strengthredefined and we’ll select a winner to giveaway @henrycavill stack (Grass Fed Whey, Amino Build, and Shatter/Shatter Elite)
