POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

We were so lucky to have been brother bands with the @theslashdogs in our earlier years.

@liamlynchphoto was their original bassist alongside our @paul_m_gioia who was their original drummer.

The two bands toured the country multiple times together and shared so many foundational moments together - like our first Oppikoppis, Knife Fight Festivals, Hell on Wheels Tours and the epic hosting of @fokofpolisiekar on their first tour to Gauteng.

We have thousands of shots that Liam took of us and we will share as many of them as we can in his beautiful memory.

These are some of our favourites - our 2007 reunion shows in Pretoria and Johannesburg.

Thank you brother Liam ❤️ You were the best of us and an irreplaceable talent who inspired and taught us all to seek to be impeccable ❤️

Next Friday the 4th of September, we release “Beige Fest” ⚡️⚡️⚡️

This is the first single from our new album ‘Nothing Is Punk Anymore’ arriving September 18th 2026.

This song is a celebration of 28 years of this band.

It’s also a giant ‘Fuck You!’ to the corporatised, homogenised and nefarious energies at play within the music industry.

Rejoice or lament - either way, just listen 💫

Thank you so much to everyone that has contributed to the backabuddy!

We’re getting there with your support and are totally blown away by all the love.

We still have a way to go - so please tell your grandma who once owned a Clash record that there’s this band she might like, wanting to release their music on the ‘ol “45.

The new ATFN album is finished! “Nothing Is Punk Anymore” is a protest record about music, creativity, and what happens when art becomes little more than content.

We’ve already self-funded the recording, mixing, mastering, artwork, merch and everything needed to get here. Now we need help raising R135000 to release it properly and take it on tour.

We’ve launched a BackaBuddy campaign with limited bundles, cd, original artwork prints from each of the 9 songs, and even a limited “Song Patron” tier.

One track — our cover of Johnny Clegg’s “Cruel, Crazy, Beautiful World” we did with @hunterkennedy.music , @iamjaybones and @steph_for_king — will help fund a children’s home in Pretoria.

If you’ve ever supported ATFN, come to a show, bought merch, or believed in independent music, this is how you help bring the next chapter into the world.

Nothing Is Punk Anymore - Let it not be so.
