Here’s another throwback to a spot that has a lot to do with my BMX history. This one was just down the street from where I grew up, on the strip of Whittier Boulevard, which is pretty much where I learned how to ride street. The Boulevard had everything you needed. Banks, hips, giant banks, ledges, jumps. Honestly I was such a product of that environment. We called this one Texaco Banks because it was at a Texaco gas station. It went through a lot of changes over the years. It started as just a jump, then they put a wooden fence on it, then a chain fence on top of that. And here’s a little look back at how I somehow ended up with two Ride covers from the same spot. #teambronco_ambassador

Yes! Thursday. 67 pics in this one. That’s almost two rolls of 36-films. Trial and error back in the day. Waiting for the rolls to be developed and photos to be printed. Some came out better than others. Some you forgot you took. A different world. Expensive hobby. But glad things from the past got captured so we can enjoy them now. Not in vain. The other day I was back at my high school pedaling around with some guys and realize that that is kind of word all started. Back in 1993, roughly I jumped this roof gap after @jeremy_wray have been doing it on a skateboard. We both went to high school there.. which is kind of where it all began.
