Always sore? Struggling to stay consistent with training? 😣

It’s not always about working harder — it’s about recovering smarter.
Dry needling, cupping, and hands-on soft tissue work can be the missing link keeping you from hitting that next level.

Because the truth is… the best ability is availability. 💪

👉 If you’re tired of being sidelined by nagging aches and pains, DM us “RECOVER” and we’ll schedule a complimentary 15-minute discovery call to get you started.

⚡ Same athlete. Same plyometric. Two very different legs.

When I assess a forward-motion plyometric, I’m looking for key details that tell me about an athlete’s strength and control.

📸 First frame: The knee moves forward over the toe — showing the quads can eccentrically control the knee. This allows for a knee-dominant strategy, meaning more power and efficiency from the lower body.

📸 Second frame: Minimal forward knee motion, more hip flexion, and reduced calf activation. This often means less Achilles stiffness, which limits energy storage and return.

✅ These small differences reveal where an athlete might need more strength, better control, or targeted training — not just to boost performance, but to reduce injury risk.

We ran real-time plyometric testing using our VALD ForceDecks to dive into @markosorioo peak force, jump power, landing impact, and left/right asymmetries. We also compared it to his past results and normative data for his sport and age group.

Key takeaways:
• Right leg is compensating — doing more work due to reduced power/control on the left
• Jump power is in a solid range, but the imbalance is something we’re addressing
• 42% increase in jump height since his first session 🙌
• Squat symmetry started off good — and got even better under load 🔥

What we found:
• Clear asymmetries during takeoff and landing (left-dominant takeoff, right-dominant landing)
• Explosive strength + RSI are trending up, but we’re not done yet
• Imbalances like this can create inefficiencies and increase injury risk over time

Next Steps:
Build power + control on the left leg, and manage impact loading to prevent compensation patterns.

We’re using real-time data to guide every step — from performance gains to injury prevention. It also helps us guide training and programming for future and allowed us to progress him to sprinting for the first time since his injury!

🚨 Phase I Achilles Tendinopathy Rehab
Starting the process with control — but make no mistake, heavy loading is the goal. 🦶

Phase I is all about reducing pain, improving tendon capacity, and prepping the tissue for what it really needs: progressive, heavy loading, and I mean heavy!

Why heavy loading?
🔹 Stimulates tendon remodeling
🔹 Improves stiffness & strength
🔹 Builds true resilience and durability

✅ Isometric holds
✅ Controlled full range of motion
✅ Foundation before intensity

This isn’t just rest and stretch — it’s strategic, progressive work.
💪 Phase II and III may incorporate more power and impulse based training if there’s a solid foundation of strength and tissue resiliency. These are just some ideas to get you started!

👣 Think you’re dealing with Achilles pain? DM or hit the link in bio to schedule your eval.
