My good friend, @markschleyer , known as the “accountant to artist” has started an art and clothing company, @offbeatcapsule .

Over the last few months I’ve been fortunate enough to collaborate with him and he is now releasing his first set of prints and hoodies. All of his designs are original by him and he’s creating them as a means to bring out his creative side through deep meditation and meaning, with themes from Portland and the Pacific Northwest.

Mark is a really great guy that is proving every day that we can break the mold and #beoffbeat .

I took a 3 week trip to my favorite city, Puerto Vallarta, in Mexico to celebrate graduating college as an adult and 3 years of insane grinding and burnout creating Ritual Glaze. I forgot what rest is like. What recovery is like. What sunsets look like. What chocolate tastes like. What culture and tattoos and street art feel like in the body. Celebrating Dia de los Muertos and Día de la Revolución in person. I finally gained some weight back after all the stress took my body from me. It was difficult for my sobriety in a number of ways but I feel closer to myself. I come home today and I can’t wait to make art from the bottom of my heart. I feel heartbroken over leaving my friends here and the cats we’ve bonded with and have been looking after. But Martha is waiting and perspective and change create powerful realities. Love you all so much.

I love instant film. Over the years I have shot with a Polaroid Land Camera, sx-70, and instax wide. No matter the format, the thing I love most is that limiting the number of exposures (8 or 10 depending on the film maker), fundamentally changes my style and approach.

Pictured are a collection of instant film images I’ve taken over the years. I organized the sequence of photographs to tell my own story, but really to allow anyone who looks at the photos to makeup a story of their own.
