Sistren | SAVIOR | Straight Panic | Afterglow
Non-stop April to July. Still recovering… I can’t possibly do a post for all of them. Maybe I’ll do some cutesy production photo posts (one day)

I worked every role I physically know across these shows, with so many of them overlapping at different stages of the process. Producing, production management, stage management, lighting design…
With a whole heck of a lot happening outside the theatre as well.
All four shows were community driven works… for community and by community and that’s extremely special and necessary in these times and was very needed.
Lily and I call shows that we choose to do “shows for the soul” or “soul shows” because they’re not for money or for what may be perceived as success. They’re works that the people making them feel nourished and excited by making. That feel good to do. They speak to us or to younger versions of us. Or they teach us something we didn’t know. And most of all, everyone’s there for a good time. These were all soul shows for me. Which is a very lovely thing to be able to say because it doesn’t happen all the time.

To those who greeted me at the foyer still with tears in their eyes, and strangers who sent me messages on Instagram. To all our friends and family who came from Melbourne, Brisbane, Christchurch, and yes flying all the way from Manila to watch, THANK YOU!

This show is yours as much as it is mine. With every person who sees it, the work gains new life and witnessing it all unfold and land in new ways is my favorite part of the process. I feel just as seen.

Thankyou to everyone who showed up for me throughout this whole process. This has been a very special project and I’m afraid my words will fall short
1. Because I keep tearing up thinking about this and
2. because something like this is indescribable.

My friends, my family, the cast and creative team of Savior Thankyou. To our very loving audience 🥹 Thankyou, truly! Thankyou! To my family and friends who spammed the box office, you a real one. It was a real honour doing this with you 🥹🥹 if you saw me sobbing through the bows I hope that says enough. I have big love for all of you - I will now hibernate for a week. ❤️‍🔥
