@erikwphotography has been a photographer in the DMV cosplay scene since 2018. Over the past few years, his work with multicolored LED lights has grown to become one of his most requested photoshoot setups from cosplayers & models, and he is excited to provide it at the Cosplay Studio Experience.

What is the cosplay studio experience??

An opportunity to work with some great cosplay photographers in a studio environment at a great rate. Only $15 to get an all day pass and purchase photos from the photographers at $5 per image.

The event location is in downtown Fredericksburg VA where there is a lot of great local shops and food choices to make it worth the trip down.

Heather is the main photographer and creative director behind Munchkin Photos, with over ten years of experience in portrait, cosplay, and fantasy photography. She is the photographer you call when you have big ball gowns, fancy dresses, kimonos, or historical outfits and want a set built around your cosplay. She can do almost any style, from light and airy to bold and dramatic, to meet the mood of the cosplay.

We are excited to announce @pasionplays as our next professional cosplay photographer for the Cosplay Studio Experience on September 20 in Fredericksburg VA

AJ Pasion is a multi-published cosplayer and cosplay photographer who has been taking self portraits of his cosplays since 2022, but has made the jump to photographing other cosplayers in 2024. His style incorporates dynamic angles, posing, bold colors, and true-to-character storytelling through still images. AJ focuses on allowing the cosplayer’s personality to bleed through into their character and ensures every cosplayer feels safe, seen, and appreciated.

🔥Hear ye, hear ye, all creatives, artists, and sketchers ...we are delighted to resurrect RVA DRINK & DRAW for a special one night only event! As part of the Dragon Fire Tavern art pop-up in July, a month of exciting fantasy-based 21+ events, RVA DRINK & DRAW is an alternative themed live model drawing event for artists of all skill levels, hosted by local professional artist and goblin, Brit Austin Art! 🔥

🔥 Roll for Initiative and get ready to draw our renaissance model of many talents, titles, and tales, Chiara Scuro as she ignites the creative flame under those wings! The poses will be fire and we promise it won’t drag-on.

There will be plenty of breaks to grab a spirit at BLACK IRIS’ bar with an assortment of beer, wine, mixed drinks, NA options along with themed drink specials!

🔥 Admission to this 21+ event includes art materials and basic drawing demonstration! Supplies will be provided, but feel free to bring your own as well! Tickets $15 until July 8th, then $20 until the event. Buy advance to save your spot!

🔥 Want to attend but don’t feel like you can draw a stick figure? No worries! This inclusive space is welcome and encouraging to all folks who want to draw, haven’t picked up a pencil in 90 years, doodle in their dreams, or are just plain curious.

Expect this kind of drawing session to be a bit different from others; while it will be filled with artistic education, it will also have a cozy, friendly atmosphere with the occasional punderful dad joke from our host. Not a good man but a fundamentally good soldier who trying hard to be what he is supposed to be

Gotta say out of all the shield wielding characters I’ve done walker is just a favorite of mine his struggles to do what is right while also trying to be like Steve which is what really made his spiral down tragic

Still favorite character of mine no matter how many time I get people crapping on his character
