Who is Drica Lobo? Well, I’m many things: a Brazilian artist, cat lover, gym rat, former TV reporter, writer, and certified color addict. Drica is my artistic name—my real (and long) name is Adrianna Lobo Sportelli Daló (a story for another post!).

But that’s just the beginning…

𝙄 𝙙𝙞𝙙 𝙞𝙩! I was finally able to recap the wonderful, whirlwind of a trip Syd and I had in France. The art, the food, and most importantly, the people, were simply magical. If you have a few minutes, I hope you'll enjoy reading my latest blog post. I highly recommend the Chateau Orquevaux Residency Program and will forever cherish our experience. 💕🇫🇷🥐

i don’t really have the words to describe the two weeks i spent at @chateau_orquevaux , an international artists residency in champagne, france. it was like…. art summer camp?? for grown ups?? with the most delectable french food and a sprawling park that smelled like lavender and honeysuckle and some of the most inspiring, thoughtful, creative, and talented people i’ve ever met???? yeah, that’s about right

This piece is now in the permanent collection of @chateau_orquevaux @atelier_chateau_orquevaux and was one of the results of my residency there. I cannot say enough what an incredibly transformative experience this residency was. My cohort became friends then they became family. So much so that @saintlui_art and I had second wedding/renewal on the gorgeous grounds. To share this whole experience with my love was simply unforgettable. I know I will continue to move in LOVE & GRATITUDE as I move to push myself to be great.

“My dear, here we must run as fast as we can, just to stay in place. And if you wish to go anywhere you must run twice as fast as that.” Lewis Caroll

Do you ever feel like Alice where you are constantly running and running to catch up and get absolutely nowhere? Or that you're never making progress and just start out in the exact same place all over again?

Whether you feel that way in life, in your fitness goals, or your nutrition, the answer lies within change and adaptation.... Change isn't easy, sometimes it's not the right change, and sometimes we don't know how to adapt to the changes around us so we just stay in our comfort zone.

News flash: you can't grow in a comfort zone!

So how do we get around this? Well if it's fitness related, change your tempo up, take a different style of class more frequently, try something new.
When it comes to nutrition, change it up! Don't stick with the same boring meals over and over, get in the kitchen get your hands dirty and try something new... Try to make more sustainable changes rather than quick binge diets.

As for the everyday struggle, get out of the comfort zone and do something that challenges you... Do something that might seem terrifying right now but will be worth it in the end.
