Sometimes the world can feel upside down. Negativity, pressure and social media can make emotions feel heavy, especially for young people. With this shoot, we choose to look at those feelings differently.

Through bold colors, playful scenes and surreal visuals, we turn darker emotions into something vibrant and expressive. Because even in difficult moments, there is always color to be found 🌈💓

“De Familiedroom” (“The Family Dream”). This part of the Huisje Boompje Beestje series explores the growing distance between society’s expectations and the reality many young people face today.

For many members of the pechgeneratie (the generation shaped by overlapping crises), building what used to be considered an ordinary, stable life no longer feels like a given. Rising housing costs, student debt and uncertainty about the future have made milestones like buying a home and starting a family, for those who want to do so, feel increasingly out of reach.

De Familiedroom explores the tension between the life many people were taught to aspire to and the reality in which they now find themselves.

What happens when an ordinary life becomes a privilege rather than an expectation?
