BREAKING: The Miami Marlins informed play by play TV announcer, Kyle Sielaff, that they will not renew his contract with the team.

The Marlins are also letting go of Jeff Nelson, Craig Minervini, and Rod Allen per @fishonfirst

Jack McMullen, who was the Marlins radio announcer is the lead candidate to overtake Marlins.TV duties.

The Marlins might be testing one of the most interesting pitching ideas in baseball.

Eury Pérez threw 97 pitches, appeared out of the bullpen three days later, then returned to the rotation and threw a complete-game shutout.

And he’s not alone. Miami has also used Sandy Alcantara and Janson Junk between starts.

The idea raises major workload questions. But it also raises a fascinating possibility: what if some pitches normally thrown in a between-start bullpen could instead become actual MLB innings?

Marlins start the series with a hard fought win with @eury shutting out the Braves in 9 innings as he goes the full distance pitching.
