My blog is my soul, not a business project
Lately, I’ve been getting messages from some followers saying that the "lightness is gone" from my page and that I am "deliberately bringing the w&$%r into my posts." I want to answer everyone at once to close this topic.
I run my blog the way I see fit. I don't make money here, I don't chase numbers, and I'm not trying to please anyone or sell a "perfect picture." When I'm in a good mood, I happily share my photos and selfies with a rested, happy face. But when I haven't slept all night because of a missile attack that lasted from 10:00 PM to 3:30 AM, followed by Shahed drones, I post myself exactly as I am — exhausted, worn out, and real. And I couldn't care less whether someone likes me at that moment or not. This is my life and my reality.
I am intentionally bringing the topic of w$%r into my main feed because not everyone watches stories. Many people just hide their heads in the sand because they don't care about what's happening in Ukraine, or they are just tired of bad news. I want to share the truth.
And for those who reproach me with things like: "Well, you probably didn't care about other conflicts in the world before either" — let me tell you straight. No, I have never been indifferent. I have never been a passive observer. When there were wildfires in Turkey, I shouted about it on my page and spread information. And there are countless examples like that. Someone else's pain has always mattered to me.
So, I don't need advice on how to run MY blog. This is a space for my feelings and my lived experiences. If anyone needs constant carelessness and fake positivity, there are plenty of other pages out there. But here, the truth and my real life remain.

1989. Kalendarz Mody Polskiej.

Na zdjęciach ikony modelingu tamtego czasu, między innymi Małgorzata Niemen. A obok mnie, na trzecim zdjęciu w karuzeli, Marlena Ettinger-Olko. To zresztą jedyne wspólne zdjęcie, jakie mam z Marleną, z którą właśnie wtedy zaczynałyśmy pracę w Modzie Polskiej.

Patrzę dziś na ten kalendarz i myślę o drodze, którą przeszłam od tamtego momentu. Moda Polska, potem Mediolan, Nowy Jork, Paryż… Tyle miejsc, spotkań, ludzi, historii.

Ten kalendarz jest dla mnie czymś więcej niż tylko pamiątką. Jest przypomnieniem, jak nieprzewidywalna potrafi być droga w modzie.

Patrząc na te zdjęcia dzisiaj, pomyślałam sobie z uśmiechem: może czas na kolejny kalendarz? Na przykład 2030. Bo przecież niektóre historie naprawdę lubią zataczać koło.

I’ve spent a lot of my heart into this work… it’s finished in graphite and charcoal on Fabriano paper.

And these unrelated words below are about living half a life… and being shown dreams of a full life… tossing coins into wishing fountains…

Diadora:

You are a reminder that I’m so small
In your vastness you stand tall
Your locks of sun filled hair are a treasure
and my darkness is no measure

of your beauty…

This is my half life…

Your elegant dreams are like tall hills
Like vibrant pansies lined on window sills
Your eyes are reflections of pleasure
and my humble poetry is of no measure

of your grace…

That’s my half life…

(Are we living half lives
on the edge of circus knives…?
Did we give it everything we got
winning every battle we fought…?

It’s always been half love
half seemed to be enough
And right from the start
I’ve always had half a heart)

and here you are my Diadora…
The essence of flora
what I could never be
I can never find the key…

And as you breathe in your colours of light
In my half life, I’m breathing in black and white

And here you are, bigger than I could ever be
My Diadora can you not see..

You’re all of my dreamy art
I’ve decorated you in my heart

with rays on your sun kissed face…
