My son is now 15. This picture has to be 9 years old. I get to see him next week. This pandemic has thrown everything off track even priceless moments.. I cherish every moment I get with young Shawn Matteo. I see so much of myself in him minus the foolishness and malice.

I thought I would share this with you cyber world. We share the good and the bad and every feeling in between.

At the end of it all. All we have is memories...

What do you consider yourself?
We are a people with such diverse roots.
I would not dare to use the word mixed but Criolla would be the proper term.
Una gente con Cultura, Amor, y Orgullo.. ●Music runs through our viens, it's the beat to our soul.● ♡Our Roots Run Deep.♡
Zamacueca, Lando, Festejo, Alcatraz is what our ancestors created out of joy, necessity, and pride.

Almost a year and half after the Charlottesville protests which separated this nation many asked the questions how did things get this far? The same people who asked those questions participated in the same racists culture which seems to continue to haunt this country. In a way it makes you think how could we possibly find a solution when we continue to uncover these skeletons in America's closet.
