Sometimes a girls’ trip needs a little less planning and a little more “shall we stop for another coffee?” ☕️🌊

Essaouira is made for those moments. Wandering the medina, browsing little shops, stopping for lunch and letting the afternoon unfold. With its sea breeze, blue shutters and wonderfully relaxed pace, it’s a place where I love giving my guests time to simply enjoy being here.

And this is part of Morocco I love sharing with women. The laughter, the conversations, the pleasure of exploring somewhere new together — with someone else taking care of the details.

There’s room for adventure, of course. But there’s also room to linger over breakfast, walk beside the ocean and have absolutely nowhere urgent to be.

Morocco, one colour at a time. Starting with GREEN. 💚

The fresh mint tucked into a glass of tea. A beautifully weathered door I can’t walk past without photographing. A turban, a djellaba, botttled of locally made wine, green bottle caps on bottles of olive oil, the large apple entering into Midelt, the green roof of Al Qaraouine University or what about a random bag of feed in the Medina of Essaouira that came all the way from… Canada!! And of course the endless landscapes that make you stop and say, “Ah, yes, this is Morocco too.”

I’ve been looking through my photos, and it turns out I have quite the collection of Morocco in green. Once you start noticing a colour, you see it everywhere… in what people wear, what they grow, what they pour, and how they paint their homes.

So this is the beginning of a little series: the colours of Morocco, through my eyes. And apparently, I needed 18 photos to make my case for green. 😉

I do love a coffee stop… especially when Moroccan spiced coffee is involved. ☕️🤎

If you caught my Live the other morning, you’ll know this is one of my favourite drinks. The spices mixed into the coffee give it such a delicious warmth and aroma. I wish you could smell it through the screen!

Revisiting this little moment from a walk through Casablanca with Tarik and our guests reminded me how much I love sharing these everyday pleasures with people visiting Morocco.

Walking, chatting, stopping for a coffee, and discovering a flavour you might want to take home with you. Always room for that on my trips. 😉🇲🇦

📌Marrakech Destination Highlight: Insiders Marrakech 🇲🇦

Marrakech from a sidecar? Yes, please! 🏍️☀️

Fellow Canadian travel agent Kristin and I headed out with Insiders Marrakech for a ride through the medina, Gueliz and the Palmeraie—and what a fun way to explore!

From the bustle of the old city to the streets of Gueliz and out among the palms, we got to see so many different sides of Marrakech in one outing. Plenty to look at, plenty of laughs, and me happily taking photos along the way. 📸

I love walking through Marrakech, but seeing it from a sidecar brought a whole new perspective to a city so close to my heart.

SEE or FEEL Morocco? Which is more like you?

🇲🇦 Okay ladies… I’m curious. Which Morocco trip sounds more like YOU?

When I planned my women’s trips for 2027, I realized I was actually creating them for two very different kinds of travellers.

❤️ The woman who wants to SEE Morocco.

She wants the road trip. The changing landscapes. Ancient medinas. Mountains. Kasbahs. The Sahara. Camels. Fes. Marrakech. Those big I can’t believe I’m actually here moments.

She wants an adventure.

🌿 And then there’s the woman who wants to FEEL Morocco.

She wants to slow down. Wander Marrakech without rushing. Sit over mint tea. Create something with a local artisan. Spend time by the ocean in Essaouira. Eat beautiful food. Have meaningful conversations. Rest.

She wants to come home feeling different than when she arrived.

That’s exactly why I created two very different women’s trips for 2027:

✨ Grand Adventure Morocco — for the woman who wants to SEE Morocco.

Maximum 10 women.

✨ Moroccan Pause — for the woman who wants to FEEL Morocco.

Maximum 6 women.

Both are small. Both are intentionally curated. And both are built around the kind of Morocco I love sharing — local people, authentic experiences, incredible food, beautiful places and plenty of moments that never make it into a guidebook.

One of my favourite things to include in a Morocco journey is the chance to actually do something — not just see it. 🇲🇦✨

My ladies spent an afternoon at Art House Marrakech learning the traditional art of zellige — the beautiful hand-cut tilework you see throughout Morocco.

With the guidance (and incredible patience! 😂) of a local artisan, they learned how the tiles are carefully cut by hand, piece by piece, before creating their own little work of Moroccan art to take home.

There was concentration. There was laughter. There may have been a few moments of “How on earth do they make this look so easy?” 😅

And that’s exactly why I love experiences like this.

You come away with so much more appreciation for the skill behind the things we admire while travelling — and instead of buying another souvenir, you take home something you made yourself, along with the memory of the person who taught you how to make it.

These are the kinds of experiences I love weaving into my Morocco trips. ❤️

Travel isn’t only about the places we see.
It’s about the people we meet, the things we learn and the stories we bring home with us.

Flight of a lifetime 🎈🇲🇦

Some travel memories stay with you because of where you went.

Others stay with you because of who was beside you. ❤️

Our hot air balloon flight was one of the highlights of our Morocco group trip this September — everyone absolutely loved it. But for me, this one was extra special because I got to experience it with my mom.

She was nervous. REALLY nervous. 😂

But once we were up in the air, floating quietly above the landscape as the sun came up, I kept looking over at her.

Watching the nerves disappear.
Watching her take it all in.
Watching that smile appear on her face.

And I thought… this is one of those moments I’m going to remember forever.

I spend so much of my life creating experiences and memories for other people through travel. Getting to share one of those experiences with my own mom was pretty darn special.

And she did it. ❤️

Turns out, sometimes the things that scare us a little become the stories we love telling the most.

One very special morning, high above Morocco. 🎈🇲🇦

🇲🇦 You can SEE Morocco on your own. But a good local guide helps you UNDERSTAND it.

For me, this is one of the biggest reasons I believe in travelling with local guides.

A guide isn’t simply someone who walks you through the medina and points out the important buildings.

They tell you why that doorway matters.
They explain what you’re seeing inside the mosque courtyard.
They introduce you to the artisan whose family has been working at the same craft for generations.
They know which tiny alley leads to something you would have walked straight past.

And perhaps most importantly, they give you the opportunity to ask questions.

About religion. Food. Family. Traditions. History. Daily life. What’s changing in Morocco and what remains deeply rooted.

Some of my favourite moments with guests have happened because one simple question turned into a fascinating conversation with one of our guides.

That’s the difference between simply visiting a country and beginning to understand it.

And when you hire a licensed local guide, you’re also putting your tourism money directly into the hands of the people who live here and know this country best. ❤️

When I curate my Morocco experiences, local guides are an important part of them—not because I want you to be shuffled from sight to sight, but because I want you to come home knowing more about Morocco than when you arrived.

See the sights, absolutely. But meet the people behind them too. 🇲🇦

On our last Moroccan Pause, my ladies spent a couple of hours getting their hands into the clay at Arthouse Marrakech — and surprised themselves with what they created.

With Youssef patiently guiding them through the process, they went from being convinced they couldn’t do it to creating some pretty fantastic pieces they could actually take home with them. 🤎

This is one of the things I love most about adding creative workshops into my Morocco trips.

Yes, you go home with something you made with your own two hands — a souvenir that will always have a story attached to it. But it’s also about the experience itself.

Sitting around a table.
Learning from someone local.
Trying something you might never try at home.
Laughing when it doesn’t quite go according to plan.
And discovering that maybe you are a little more creative than you thought.

These are the experiences that make travel richer for me. You’re not simply seeing Morocco — you’re participating in it.
