TᖇOᗪITIOᑎ: the paths we walk and what we carry with us.

The name brings together trod and tradition.

It recognizes that we do not arrive in any space empty. We carry memories, gestures, questions, inherited knowledge, wounds, desires and ways of making meaning.

Trodition invites us to encounter those things through the body, creative practice and communal reasoning.

There is no expectation that you arrive knowing how to dance, write, perform or make art.

Only arrive willing to be present.

Some things begin long before they are named.

They begin as a longing...

To gather without having to perform. To create without having to produce. To reason without having to arrive with all the answers. To return to the body. To breathe. To listen. To be held in community.

Now, in communion with Aura & Ash, we are opening that space.

TᖇOᗪITIOᑎ brings together trod and tradition: the paths we walk and the practices, memories and ways of knowing that travel with us. A space where embodiment, culture, creativity, nourishment and communal care meet.

This is a space we will make together.

Our first circle communes on Sunday, 4 October 2026, at 4:00 PM at Peace Memorial Hall.

Your XCD $100 contribution includes a guided Kalunga Method experience, an Aura & Ash Grounding Kit, herbal teas, wholesome bites and creative materials.

Wear white.

Bring one offering to the gathering: fruit, white rum, something that makes sound or a piece of cloth.

Spaces are intentionally limited.

Come ready to move, make, reason, reflect and return.

Caribbean Artists Keep Cultural Knowledge in Use: O.N.G. taught a folk dance through the body, not a textbook
Operation Nex’ Generation — Jaykel Mars, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines

O.N.G. was developed as a creative arts programme for participants aged 10 to 16. Through practical workshops, they explored drama, folk dance, storytelling, folklore and Carnival traditions — learning each one’s form, performing it, and considering how it might be presented today rather than treating it as something belonging only to the past. A digital-content component taught participants to document and interpret Vincentian culture for wider audiences, pairing live instruction with the tools to share it.

The programme also served a longer ambition: an early foundation for a planned creative arts academy in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, where participants could keep building artistic skills alongside their engagement with Vincentian culture.

Spaces that create opportunities for organic connections are vital for our young people.

In order for them to carry the flame of our culture, with preservation at the forefront, we must tell them the stories of those who paved the way for them. We must model for them a keen sense of spiritual connection between ourselves and the earth.
