There are many ways to experience music. Sometimes we dance to it. Sometimes we simply let it move through us.

For the second edition of the Fräulein × Inan Batman Sound Bath, we gathered at Soho House Berlin for a very special moment: closing Inan Batman’s 72 Hours Festival during Berlin Art Week while celebrating the opening of the new Soho House Health Club.

Guided by @jeena.wav, we spent an hour listening, breathing and simply being present. A room full of women, a shared experience, and a moment to slow down together.

Thank you @sohohouse for welcoming us, Jeena for guiding us, @susannekaufmann_ for the beautiful treats in our goodie bags — and everyone who joined us. 🤍

More to come.

Thanks to Kate Brown, Mat Dryhurst, Milan Ther, and Sarah Johanna Theurer for closing out Berlin Art Week – and the Berlin outpost of Julia Stoschek Foundation – with “The State of the Arts,” a Spike Roundtable on the conditions that might nurture art becoming strange, difficult, consequential, free once more.

Look out for their conversation in the Spotify or Apple Podcasts feeds of The Spike Podcast later this month.

Photos: Eva Luise Hoppe @marsmdl

What a week. Friends appreciation ❤️🏀

Egal woher man kommt, egal wo man lebt.

Our love, our vows, our favorite people, and a little sign from above. A stork soaring over our ceremony felt like the universe adding its own blessing to a day we’ll cherish forever. 🤍

If you ever lose your way
You can call up on this family
You can call upon this day
‘Cause you’re my present my future
My lesson my teacher
Oh, My world is silent
You’re my guard you’re my guide
In my life I confide
To shelter your ever want

Luise is a Berlin-born photographer working in the fields of portrait and storytelling, both commercially and personally. While being an original Berliner and not having been able to part with the city (it’s a love-hate thing), one part of her heart has always belonged to the mountains and being on the road, juggling too many things at the same time. For volume three of Berliners and their dogs, I asked her what home means to her and how her family life has changed since the arrival of rescue Frida. Swipe to find out. 📸 @jan_kapitaen
