📺🎄 AN APPLICATION HAS BEEN SELECTED! 🎄📺

Our very first Made FOR TV Holiday Experience has found its couple. ❤️

I read every application—and one story immediately gave me that little “Ohhhh…I know what I want to do with this.” feeling.

And now?

The story begins. 🔑

Over the next several weeks, I’ll be quietly building a completely personalized Christmas adventure around two real people, their story, and a little holiday magic.

They won’t know where they’re going.
They won’t know what’s waiting for them.
And I’m not telling YOU either. 😂

But I will let you peek behind the curtain as pieces begin coming together—without spoiling the mystery for our selected couple.

🎬 MADE FOR TV: HOLIDAY EDITION
Application selected.
December 2026.

Stay curious. 🔑✨

🔒 CASE FILE NO. 0001 — CLOSED

Our very first Matchbox Mystery Experience is officially in the books.

The evidence has been collected.
The photographs have been developed.
The Persons of Interest have been debriefed.
And last night, Case File 0001 was officially stamped:

CASE CLOSED.

When we started this first case, we had an idea of what we hoped this could become.

Last night, our couple told us their experience was “absolutely amazing.” ❤️

But one thing they said during their debriefing meant more to me than they probably realized:

Every single person they encountered seemed genuinely excited to be part of their story.

And they noticed.

That’s exactly what made this first Case File work.

So before we archive 0001, I need to thank the people and businesses who took a chance on a slightly strange phone call from a woman asking things like, “Would you mind giving this mysterious envelope to a couple when they arrive?” 😂

❤️ The Canyon Grill— for welcoming our couple and helping their first destination feel like something was already happening behind the scenes.

📷 Savannah of @photosby.savannah — for showing up as a complete surprise, collecting a little “evidence,” and giving them a photo session they told me they had an absolute blast doing.

🔑 The Groovy Nomad — for giving Case File 0001 the wonderfully weird little world it needed for part of their story.

🎬 The Wilderness Outdoor Theater— from the ticket booth to concessions to that anniversary announcement, your team didn’t just accommodate the mystery. You played along.

You were the first businesses ever to become part of a Matchbox Mystery Experience.

Which means there’s one more designation I’m very proud to give you:

FOUNDING PARTNERS — MATCHBOX MYSTERY EXPERIENCES

Thank you for helping us find out whether this crazy little idea could actually work.

It did. ❤️

CASE FILE NO. 0001
STATUS: CLOSED

But somewhere out there…

another Case File is already open. 🔒

Stay Curious. #wildernessoutdoortheater #groovynomad #thecanyongrill

🎬 BE PART OF FALL BREAK AT THE MARS!

We’re getting closer to Fall Break at the MARS on Thursday, October 15, and we’ve come up with a couple of fun ways for YOU — and our local businesses — to be part of the show! 🍿

🏪 COMMUNITY SPONSORS — $35

We’re inviting five local businesses to help sponsor our FREE afternoon Community Movie at the historic MARS Theatre.

TWO spots are already claimed — only THREE remain! ❤️

Our Community Sponsors will be recognized as part of the event and in our promotional materials. Your $35 helps us keep the afternoon movie completely FREE and open to everyone.

Interested? Send us a message and we’ll send you the sponsorship information!

🎥 MOVIE SHOUT-OUTS — STARTING AT $5!

Now THIS is just fun. 😂

Have a birthday in October? Anniversary? Graduation? Retirement? Someone who deserves a congratulations? Or maybe you just want to tell somebody you love them in a BIG way?

Put it on the BIG SCREEN at the MARS!

🎟️ $5 — Simple Shout-Out
Name + short greeting

🎟️ $10 — Celebration Message
Birthday, anniversary, congratulations or another short personal message

🎟️ $15 — Featured Shout-Out
Full-screen message including a photo you provide

Shout-Outs will appear on the movie screen as part of our Fall Break at the MARS pre-show festivities. All messages must be family-friendly and are subject to approval.

And NO — you don’t have to be attending the movie to purchase one for somebody who is! ❤️

Space will be limited because nobody came to the MARS to sit through 47 minutes of birthday announcements. 😂

And MAYBE…

We’re checking into one more very special way to display a message at the MARS. 👀

We’ll tell you about that one if we get permission. 😏🎬

Want a Community Sponsorship or Movie Shout-Out?
Just message The Matchbox and tell us which one you want!

📍The Gallery at Mars — LaFayette, Georgia

🖼️ Housed above the historic Mars Theater in downtown LaFayette, The Gallery at Mars brings together Southern inspiration, local creativity, and handcrafted artwork in a space with plenty of history of its own.

🎭 Fun fact: Today, the Mars Theater is a 72-seat venue where visitors can catch live music, plays, movies, comedy, and other events throughout the year.

🏛️ The Mars Theater has stood as part of LaFayette’s downtown for generations. First opening as a movie theater in the 1930s, the building has survived a fire, changes in purpose, and years of transition before finding a new place in the community’s arts and entertainment scene.

🌿 Today, The Gallery at Mars adds another layer to that story. Artwork and handmade pieces now fill what was once the theater’s balcony, creating a unique space where LaFayette’s history and Southern creativity come together.

✨ Whether you’re stopping by for the art, the history, or an event at the theater, The Gallery at Mars is another reason to explore the heart of downtown LaFayette.

➡️ Follow @thegalleryatmars to discover the artists, artwork, events, and inspiration behind the space.

📍The Gallery at Mars — LaFayette, Georgia

🎨 Tucked into the heart of downtown LaFayette, The Gallery at Mars is giving new life to a historic space while celebrating art, creativity, and the beauty of the South. Located on the second floor of the historic Mars Theater, The Gallery features artwork and handcrafted pieces that bring a fresh artistic energy to this small North Georgia community.

🎭 The Mars Theater has been part of LaFayette’s story for generations. Originally opened as a movie theater in the 1930s, the historic building has experienced fire, changes in use, and years of transition before becoming part of the city’s growing arts and entertainment scene.

🖼️ What makes the Gallery at Mars especially meaningful is the way it blends the past with the present. Art now fills a space that was once the theater’s balcony, creating another reason to step inside this historic downtown landmark and experience LaFayette through a creative lens.

💡 Fun fact: The theater itself is a 72-seat venue today and hosts everything from concerts and plays to movies and comedy shows.

➡️ Follow @thegalleryatmars for a look at the artwork, artists, events, and stories.
