You take a huge risk in order to chase your dreams by leaving your old lifestyle of smoking, drinking and negative surroundings.

And you actually end up succeeding in the long run (estimate 5-7 years ahead of today) of continues trials and tribulations.
If you don’t succeed you end up where you started, where you literally already are right now!

And now let’s say you don’t take the risk, you remain where you are for the rest of your life having obtained nothing. Just you being older than you are right now until you retire.
