Finger Painting with Martha!🎨 Last Thursday Black Kid Art launched our teaching artist series at East Atlanta Kids Club! Our first artist of the semester was Martha Efrem, a sophmore Biology major at Spelman College from Charlotte, North Carolina. She loves painting as it allows her to have fun! The students learned about Willie Cole, an African American artist from New Jersey who transforms every day objects like shoes or water bottles into works of art that speaks to the lived experiences of Black communities in America. Thank you @marthaaefrem and @eastatlantakids ! This week we’ll be back at the East Atlanta Kids Club on Thursday from 5-6 for more programming!
