🏆 GRAND PRIZE MALE FIGURE FACE | 🇧🇷 WAVE YOUR FLAG KIKI 🇧🇷 BY BUBBLEGUM (@marthaneev) & MAZE (@dxrnell.antonio) LOUBOUTIN @houseoflouboutin.uk | captured by @ballroomclips.uk - thank you for always recording the balls, it means so much to us! 💜

it was such an honour to be a part of the Bristol #ballroom history that was made with its first ever kiki ball + my first ever time walking outside London.

This was such a fab function and can't wait to go back to Bristol!

Special thanks to my girl Bubblegum for coming through for me and making sure I had a place to sleep. Love you friend.

Wave Your Flag Kiki Ball - Baby Vogue 10s

@dxrnell.antonio and @marthaneev the function was real cute and looking for to many more for the Bristol scene

Didn’t do as well as I’d hoped but I’m holding out strong and pushing to the next step.

Photographing the 'Wave Your Flag' Kiki Function for @bristol247

Hosted by @marthaneev and @dxrnell.antonio

Photographs include these categories:

Best Dressed - bring it in your country's flag or traditional clothing from your country

Rollcall of legends within the community

Realness - attempt to pass as straight

Ballroom is a space started in 1980s New York which prioritises and celebrates queer people of colour.

I've been in ballroom spaces as a supporter since 2019 attending @kikihouseofsilky functions in Sydney, where I learned, through watching, how to express and embrace my sexuality more visibly

I love any opportunity to shout about the ballroom community, so I was so grateful to be offered and trusted with the chance to photograph and write about Bristol's first ever kiki function ✨
