Skates only take you as far as your body lets them 🛼⚡️

I want to be able to skate well past my 50s and to do this I need to put in the work now in my early 40s so I can skate injury free…I put in only 2hrs a week to train at @f2f_est2024 with the awesome @martialroller…fitting in sessions around my busy work and family schedule. Skating is how I regulate my auDHD, without it I would be a perimenopausal mess 😅

I’m a 42-year-old mother of 4, self employed & a self-taught freestyle skater, and a skate coach. @bladers_edge_skating

I immersed myself in freestyle slalom 5 years ago, and my body changed for the better and the repetition calmed my neurodivergent mind—I became fitter and leaner. However, the missing piece of the puzzle was functional strength to take the load off knee joints under stress.
