Numila Plantation Cottage at Kaua’i Coffee Co. 6”x8” oil on board. I had fun painting with the smell of coffee roasting in huge quantities! That’s the best part of the plein air adventure, you never know what you will get! This little painting is headed to the gallery next week unless you give her a forever home first. Interested message me. #plantation #plantationcottages #plantationcottage #plantationlife #cottage #kauai #kauaihawaii #kauailife #artkauai #art #artwork #artist #oilpainting #landscapeoilpainters #pleinairartist #pleinairpainting #outdoorpainterssociety #outdoorpaintings #paintinglife #tropicalpainting #hawaii #homedecor #interiordecor #kauaiartist #kauai_artist

Numila Camp 11”X14” found its forever home right here on Kaua’i! I painted it on location at the Numila Camp that housed workers during the time there was a Sugar Plantation there. Present day the plantation is home to Kaua’i Coffee. The land these cottages sit on has been sold, the old sugar plantation families have been given notice to move, some born and raised there, now in their 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. These houses are scheduled for removal or demolition. I wanted to capture the history before it disappeared. #numila #sugarplantation #plantation #plantationhouse #plantationlife #kauai #kauaihawaii #kauailife #kauai_artist #kauaiart #kauailove #kauaiartist #oilpainting #pleinair #enpleinairpainting

Painting Fearless Dingy! A couple of days ago we had huge surf. I posted a reel of a little dingy with huge surf coming in behind it fearlessly holding its own out in the ocean. SOLD I loved the whole scene so I went back today and painted what I remembered of that huge surf from the large swells that were present the other day. #kauaiart #fearless #dingy #hugesurf #oilpainting #pleinair #pleinairpainting #paintinghawaii #kauai_artist #kauaihawaii #kauaiartist #kukuiulaharbor #kukuiula #artforsale #paintwhatyoulove #paintingoutside #oceanpainting #waves #wave #art

SOLD Spent a day capturing the light at Waimea Canyon, impossible to do! Joke is on me, the light shifts constantly throughout the day. I try real hard to lay in where my darks will go as fast as possible when I start to paint. The lights always seem to take care of themselves. But if you don’t establish your dark areas pronto, you will spend the day “chasing the light”, not a good thing! 10”X20” oil on board plein air. Available.
