POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Spent last week working on an EP with @martincourtney!

We got some great guitar tones and he made great suggestions that elevated each song!

Highly recommend if you’re looking to record some songs!

It was great to hang with @tommydevoy for the week too! Pina coladas, sleeping during Digger and good vibes all week long.

Great to be in New York! Back in California now

Well, that was embarrassing. I almost missed making this playlist because I relied on AI to tell me when the last day of summer was. That is the most 2026 thing I can think of.

And yet, putting out another year of this playlist was in the universe’s plan. As always, it’s a bunch of songs I like (old and new) with some consideration to how the tracks embody summer and the transition to fall.

Have a listen and let me know your faves. Link in my stories or Creative Fodder Substack.

Our friends from @eliza.bistro stop by and party with us. Innis and Slim Corvelli will be your selectors tonight.

Pretty sure this is our first band from @righteousbabe Records! A little bit of a home town gig as Indie-pop duo Gracie and Rachel have geographic connections to the city, Berkeley, and the Hudson Valley.

beccs is an indie pop artist out of the city.

Music gear swap/sale. Bring some things that are collecting dust. mics, pedals, amps, guitars, bongos, etc.. We’ll set up tables as best as we can. First come first served. Bring stuff to set up between 4:30-5:00. Please be reasonable with how much stuff you bring. Thank you

DJ AQ brings the heat post swap!

Fri
Don’t sleep on Liquor Store. It’s undersold, and this will be great. They played here in 2023 with Country Westerns and they blew our collective mind. A super group of sorts from Jersey/Detroit. With Craig Brown, Derek Warren, Sarim Al-Rawi, Will Sheldon. I read this on discogs, and it’s pretty amazing... “A friend once described Liquor Store as being like if Can were dumb.” 🥰

Opening the show is Andrew Cedermark. Andrew is a guitar player from New Jersey now living in the Hudson Valley. Coming up in post 9/11 Bergen County, New Jersey, Andrew played shows with teenagers that would go on to form bands like Real Estate, Vivian Girls, Liquor Store and Titus Andronicus, which he played in and toured with for a bit before putting out three records under his own name on Underwater Peoples.

Andrew is currently working on a record produced by Martin Courtney (Real Estate) and Sammi Niss. Martin and Sammi also play in the live band!

Insane gig!

Sat
5 hardcore bands.
INGROWN (Idaho)
UTD (reunion featuring @photay on drums!)
HAIRBAG (reunion)
RBNC (power kingdom punk)
QUIET (HVHC)

Appreciation post for @realestateband
Not only I live in a time where these guys are actively making music, but I’ve also been lucky enough to see them play in different cities/countries/continents in the en last two years. I’ve taken planes across the ocean just to see them play, but I only took pictures once. These are from their gig last October 1st at Woodstock’ an Bearsville Theater (shot on film using a multi lens filter!).
Excited about their new music, whenever it comes out, I’ll be there ✨

Over at Vol. 1 Brooklyn I spoke with Martin Courtney of @realestateband about composing the music for the new literary sitcom BROADWAY BOOKS 📚// the pilot episode is out now with the first season in production, created by @carianneking // the show is wonderful, it even has animation by @corrinnejamez // it was a very fun conversation w/ Martin about our bookstore memories (chain and independent), 90s sitcom alt-rock theme songs and much more // 🙏 @tobiascarroll at Vol 1

Thanks to every artist on tonight’s playlist — the ones making music in small venues, indie scenes, and bedrooms. You’re what the show is for. 🎶 Full tracklist ↑
