COLLAGE BOOK curated by Anna Klos
@retroavangarda
.
Internationally oriented, richly illustrated volume dedicated to contemporary collage, presenting the works of 50 outstanding artists from around the world. The publication reveals a wide spectrum of forms, techniques, and creative strategies—from classical analog collage to innovative experiments that extend beyond the traditional picture plane.
The book is an original study grounded in many years of curatorial practice and research. The texts, based on direct conversations with artists, offer a reflection on the essence of collage as a medium that not only combines images but also interprets reality, uncovering hidden relationships and meanings.
This publication is intended for enthusiasts of contemporary art, collectors, artists, and all those interested in visual culture. It presents collage as a universal language that transcends geographical and cultural boundaries.

The book will be available (in a limited number of copies) during the opening of the International Collage Exhibition on July 9 at 6:00 PM at Galeria Dobra – in the building of the University of Warsaw Library.

After the summer, we are planning a reprint (Retroavangarda publishing), and the book will be available again in October or November.

This is not an exhibition catalogue. The exhibition features 74 artists, while the book includes only 50.

Can’t find much info, intriguing collages, some seem to be dated from the 1990s.

Gracias Antonio!
