Reno Phase 1: The Kitchen & Laundry Room 🧑‍🍳🧺

We deliberated for so long about trying to ‘make do’ with the space but ultimately, it didn’t feel safe or hygienic with a toddler and a newborn on the way.

Saying we had NO reno experience would be an understatement so when @bespokerenewables said they could support with everything for the project (from tradespeople to fitting advice, even down to offering sink/loo choices from my very vague descriptions) we decided to take the leap.

A few things were very swiftly learnt: 1) you will always unveil more problems 2) there will be more dust than you can possibly imagine and 3) the most disrupting part isn’t the Reno space itself but housing all of that space’s clutter in the other rooms.

Having said that, I do think the face lift was INCREDIBLY swift and as a full paying customer, I can’t get over how kind, helpful and decisive every tradesperson that Bespoke Renewables used was.

Next up… the first floor! And safe to say things are a bit more dramatic up there 😂

Day two postpartum. Came downstairs to my first cuddles with all three (!) of my babies. We celebrated Lila’s birthday & then Daddy and the kids got dressed up for a family wedding while Romilly & I stayed home (and I spent most of the day just staring at her) 🩷 what a lucky life we’re living

Oh our Lila bear, where has the time gone!! It doesn’t feel long ago that you were the baby we were bringing home from the hospital. The sweetest, funniest, kindest girl. We couldn’t be more proud of you and being your mummy is nothing but a blessing 🌻 here is to TWO, the year we get to watch you become a big sister 🥹🩷
