“guilty conscience” out now! everywhere!!

i wrote this song over a year ago in nashville with @wilsonmcbeath and we genuinely had the best time ever making it (slide 3 lmao)

i want each song i release to not only tell a story, but to make whoever hears it feel something. a best friend breakup can sometimes hurt as bad as, or worse than, a romantic breakup… because with love?? we know to be careful, to dip our toes in the water before going all the way in. but with a friend?? it feels so much easier to just trust them, to go deeper faster, to let them know the parts of you you’re usually so careful with.

we go into love knowing it might end. you don’t really think about your closest friendships having an expiration date too.

“guilty conscience” feels like “tightrope”’s big sister, and if you’ve been through it, consider this me being petty on your behalf :)

four songs down into a bigger story. so glad you’re here for what’s next 🌀

thank you to @martinmatt for always pushing me out of my comfort zone, for helping me combine all my favorite sounds, and for building this sonic world with me song by song. i am lucky to create alongside you <3

okay bye for now go scream “guilty conscience” at blue hour driving with the windows down! LOVE YA

nashville, you sold it the heck out

my second “songs & stories”, put together in less than a week, and a full room??? thank you. i was so emotional all night… if you were there, you know hahaha. getting to share new music and the deeper stories behind it, hear from you, and talk about what these songs bring up for all of us is why i wanted to do these nights in the first place.

thank you to everyone who helped bring this to life, to @ellecoves for sharing her beautiful voice and insanely catchy melodies, to ALL OF YOU who came, to Quandary X Collected Haus for hosting us in their incredibly cool space, to my lovely friend @kayleneliza for all you do and for capturing this night so beautifully, as well as @callieplmer, and to @martinmatt, my favorite collaborator and friend, for jumping in last minute to play some of our songs with me. i’m so grateful we get to keep doing this! ❤️

couldn’t think of a better way to head into the release of my new single “guilty conscience” coming out TONIGHT at 11pm central / 12am eastern 🌀

two cities down… where should i bring “songs & stories” next?

It’s this girls birthday🥹 I’ve been fortunate enough to grow up alongside the most talented hardworking best friend in the world, and today she turns 19. If you know Em, you know she can crack the funniest joke in a millisecond without even laughing, play an orchestra all by herself, sing her ass off, create the most majestic guitar parts, WHAT ELSE oh my god she can do everything dude. Em you’re the funniest most caring sister I could ever have and I’m so grateful for you every single day. Happy birthday skeema <3

We’ve been taking night shifts in the studio while our enemies @theburneysisters are recording, and we’ve been messing up their tracks to keep them a step or two behind us. So yeah, you could say we had a jolly old time in the stew. Huge thanks to @sprite and @shaq for sponsoring our invasion and unlocking the studio doors so late!
