Will you help me crack the code this weekend 😎? 7️⃣2️⃣1️⃣8️⃣: This is Armani Code (Parfum) by the house of Giorgio Armani. As a huge fan of the Profumo edition I was very curious about this release by the end of 2022. Luckily, it didn’t disappoint. I’m mostly a big fan of the opening where the fresh bergamot really presents itself as the reinvented star of the show. It’s the type of freshness that also can be worn in this winter season, making it a very versatile fragrance. The freshness is complemented by the use of iris, which provides the “clean opening” with just a little bit more depth and personality. In the last stage, the cedar wood and tonka bean absolute, being the iconic olfactory signature of the Code collection, make way for themselves and transform the fragrance into a woody aromatic scent profile. It’s like @jord.scents says: this fragrance is enveloping you in a comforting Code cocoon. And yes, the stylish bottle design breaks away from the original Armani Code bottle design, giving it more of a premium and contemporary look. Vanilla done very nicely!! Memoirs of a Trespasser by @imaginaryauthors is a simply beautiful woody, resinous vanilla fragrance. It’s rich, dark, and semi-sweet with an almost boozy undertone. I’m loving this new addition to my collection. Thanks to @mrcologne76 for recommending this fabulous vanilla fragrance. Memoirs of a Trespasser opens with bright, fresh bergamot. Emerging from underneath the Bergamot is the star of the show, a beautiful, rich Madagascar Vanilla that shines all the way into the dry down. The bergamot recedes and the fragrance darkens with rich, resinous notes of Myrrh and Benzoin. There’s a really nice woody vibe from Guiacwood and Oak Barrels, which also produces a slightly boozy feel to the cent. The other note here, and one that makes the scent uniquely gorgeous, is Ambrette Seeds, which is sweet, slightly musky and is what accounts for what most reviews describe as clay. This stuff is good! Really good actually. It has a real intoxicating scent that just smells amazing in the air. This is my first scent from Imaginary Authors, and I couldn’t be more impressed.
